A BYOF (bring your own food) wedding was unheard of … until today.
ICYDK, Extreme curmudgeons there was a show that talked about people who were incredibly careful financially and went to unimaginable measures to save a few dollars. Here are the moments from the show that left me in awe:
First, the woman who came to the homes of the bereaved to borrow the deceased’s vintage clothes for free.
The man who refused to pay for the laundry and instead asked the people at the laundry if he could add HIS laundry to THEM.
The man who boiled eggs on the engine of his car.
A flight attendant who brought home used pillowcases after every flight to use as coffee filters.
The guy who made his family wash with hand sanitizer and water from the park to avoid paying for water.
The mechanic who lived in the garage washed himself in a bucket and then used the water from the tub to wash the cars.
The woman who melted snow to be used as water so they wouldn’t increase their water bill.
The dude who reused his mouthwash to save money.
The couple who had a BYOB wedding.
This is a woman who has earned an honorary degree in dental surgeon.
The woman who staged a terrific murder on the road for dinner.
This man who set a timer on his refrigerator so his family couldn’t open the door for too long and increase their electricity bill.
The guy who dried his wipes in the sun to reuse.
This king, who killed two birds with one stone.
This is the family who washed the dishes in the inflatable children’s pool.
The woman who baked good old-fashioned cookies on the dashboard.
This queen who made his lungs work.
I also used mint leaves to keep the pearl whites clean.
And they also got creative when they needed a new shower head.
This is the man who made the bed with his own hands on a tight budget.
This is the legend that stole (and brought back) Christmas.
The woman who poured alcohol into glasses for her friends.
The guy who literally thought one person’s trash was another’s treasure.
The millionaire (I’m being serious) who served cat food to people instead of tuna because, you know, tuna was too expensive for her.
The woman who didn’t believe in buying toilet paper.
The guy who brought his family of six to the buffet only got three plates and paid the bill with a bag of spare change.
The dude who warmed up food in his jacuzzi.
The woman who worked out at the sporting goods store instead of the gym.
And the woman who kept hair ties together all her life.
A woman who did housework at night to lower her electricity bill.
A couple who had one strand of dental floss.
The lady who turned her hair into thread.
The woman who wrote to the jar instead of the toilet to lower her water bill.
The woman who stuffed the cushions with shaved hair.
The guy who collected rainwater for the shower.
The man who searched the refrigerator at work at work to collect the remains of his colleagues so they could bring home lunch.
The fashionista who put on all her clothes on the flight so as not to check in her luggage.
The woman who hid in the park to watch yoga classes instead of paying for them.
And the same woman was washing clothes in her pool.
The woman who poured the leftover sauce back into the bottle🤢.
And finally, the man who smeared himself with cornstarch to keep his cool, instead of getting a conditioner.
