Amy Forsythe and Susanna West starring ‘Inedia’ begin production –

EXCLUSIVE: Toronto-based production company Good Question Media and Experimental Forest Films today announced the start of production on the upcoming drama. India.

Directed by Liz Cairns in her feature film debut, the film stars Amy Forsythe (KODA, Gilded Age), Susanna West (good night, Mom) and newcomer Nova Brown. The film is currently in production and filming is taking place on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada.

The film is about a young woman who, after a series of mysterious and debilitating allergic reactions to food, joins a radical community of people who claim to feed on the light. The film explores an ancient belief that still has followers in Breatharianism and its adherents to this day: you only need light to live.

“I wrote this story from a deeply personal place, as an expression of my 15 year struggle with an eating disorder. Words cannot describe how touching it is now that these actors are bringing these characters to life and bringing the story to life, and working with such phenomenally talented actors for my first feature film is a gift,” said Cairns.

“I’m especially excited to introduce a new bright talent, Nova Brown, who we found through a local casting call on Salt Spring Island. She impressed us with her amazing depth, imagination and focus on her character.”

The film is produced by Tyler Hagan and Jennifer Chiu. Executive producers are Chris Yurkovich, Dan Beckerman and Neil Matheson.
