BILLIE EILIS may sing about being the bad guy, but she’s really not at all like that.
The superstar, who will be the youngest Glastonbury headliner in history when she takes the Pyramid stage tonight, has gone to great lengths to make sure her backstage area is completely sustainable.
The American star has banned all single-use plastics in favor of only reusable or compostable products.
Billie also ordered locally sourced 100% vegan snacks.
A source said: “She is one of the biggest stars on the planet and knows she can use her platform for good and encourage change.
“Climate and sustainability have long been high on her agenda, so when it comes to life on the road and her driver, everything has to be as clean as possible.

“During her recent appearances at the O2 Arena, she insisted that only vegan food be served, but obviously she cannot do this for the entire Worthy Farm, as much as she would like to.
“However, where she can make a difference, she has done so.”
Billy made her first appearance at the festival back in 2019 when she performed at the Other Stage after a last-minute decision was made to move her from a smaller stage due to her skyrocketing popularity.
Speaking at the time, she admitted that she had no idea what a festival was.
She explained, “I unknowingly didn’t know how important it was.
“You know, most festivals are like the same thing, but going to Glastonbury wasn’t like a normal festival.”
However, as her stage time approaches, the reality that she is on the cusp of achievement hits the mark.
Earlier this week, she said: “This is a serious once in a lifetime opportunity to be asked to go and do it.
“And I constantly feel like I don’t deserve everything, and I think that’s a good thing. I would say that for the most part it’s good.”
Even though the biggest weekend in music has begun, Billy can’t be late as she has more gigs in London this weekend.
However, that doesn’t mean she won’t be touring Decent Farm before filming.
During her recent performance at the Coachella festival in California, Billy used one of her dancers as an understudy so she could go unnoticed.
She confessed: “I had an understudy, one of my dancers. We have a black wig, we styled the buns and gave her a mask and sunglasses.
“Everyone thought it was me. I put on a big black coat, a travel vest, a hood and goggles.”
SURPRISE!
Having just topped the album charts, George Ezra prepares for a secret set at Glastonbury after being warned that he is not there.
The Green Green Grass singer will be one of several performers, including Bastille and Paolo Nutini, to perform surprise performances this weekend.
I found out that George did a last minute set after the line-up was announced because he was so jealous of everyone else playing.
In an April conversation with Kristen Bell Tattoos, when doubts were clearly creeping in, he said: “The thing is, the Glastonbury squad is what I do until I get there.
“And when I’m there, I’m like, ‘Just put me in any tent, I’ll come and play in somebody’s tent.’ I just want to be there.”
“I truly miss Glastonbury this year.
“That’s another thing I do, I fool myself, ‘Oh now I’m used to festivals because I work for them, I don’t have to go for myself.’
“Then the promo starts and you start listening to interviews from people who are leaving and you’re like, ‘Oh shit, I’m going to miss this.’
Now I can confirm that he will make a surprise appearance on the John Peel stage on Sunday, so he won’t actually have to play in anyone’s tent.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens too.
THE BALL DOES NOT GO FOR DIANA ROSS
ZOE Ball will deviate from Diana Ross’ set.
The BBC Radio 2 presenter admits she’d rather watch it on TV than catch Irish punk rock band Fontaines DC.
Diana will follow in the footsteps of Kylie Minogue and Dolly Parton and play the Legends slot on Sunday at the Pyramid Stage.
Zoe said, “Oh, Fontaine, DC! I fucking love them, I love them! All the way! I can watch Diana Ross on TV when I get home.”
The weekend promises to be a family affair for the former party girl as her son. Woody Cook debuted at Glastonbury Last night on the Greenpeace stage.
Meanwhile, ex-husband Fatboy Slim will also be performing on the Sonic stage this evening.
GRIFF IS READY TO MAKE A SPLASH
Rising star Griff is committed to making his first Glastonbury a memorable one.
The Black Hole singer, who recently supported Dua Lipa on her European tour, told me she forked out on a luxurious wigwam today to camp out next to her spot on the John Peel Stage.
Griff told me: “After the performance, I will become a player, which I have never done at festivals. I have a teepee.
“I’m staying for a few days. I brought a couple of friends and we are going to relax.
“Everyone was praising me, so I thought when I was playing that I should do it. I’m not too afraid of camping, so I’ll be fine.
If she needs to know hotspots, she should ask Dua.
In 2019, the New Rules singer hung out until 3 a.m. at a very odd local club, NYC Downlow.
This year, the hall is hosting some of dance music’s most famous artists, including Honey Dijon, who is rumored to be working on Beyoncé’s upcoming album.
Of course, I would never participate in such debauchery, but rumor has it that NYC Downlow is the way to go.
GLASTO-MIRACLES
WHEN Alice went down the Rabbit Hole, she was invited to the UnBirthday.
So it seems right that the Lewis Carroll-inspired hidden area of Glastonbury’s Rabbit Hole should go all out for the festival’s 50th anniversary of the unbirthday.
Organizers have been forced to cancel plans for a 50th anniversary weekend in 2020 due to the pandemic.

In an effort to keep the party going around the clock, Frank Sinatra’s granddaughter AJ Lambert will take to the secret stage tonight at 3am.
Dermot O’Leary will also play a celebrity DJ set tomorrow at 2am.
