Sean Paul is one of the most famous and successful Jamaican dance hall artists in history. MTO News now knows that many social justice activists on Black Twitter want to cancel it, because they say he is a white man – who misused black culture.
This is the woman who first started the #CancelSeanPaul movement. Listen to his arguments against the artist.
MTO News did some research on Sean Paul’s ethnic history, and Sean Paul is definitely multi-ethnic.
Sean’s grandmother (to his father) was a black woman and his father was black and Portuguese (his other grandfather was Portuguese). Sean Paul’s father also grew up in a Jewish family. Sean Paul was raised in a Jewish home, and Jamaican dance hall artists also had a bar. It is not clear if Sean Paul still considers Judaism to be his creed.
Here is a picture of Sean Paul’s father.
Sean Paul’s mother, Francis, has English, Chinese and Jamaican roots. But it is clear that she was ethnically a white woman.
So what do you think of his argument?
