Daredevil: Born Again stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio joined Kevin Feige onstage at D23 Expo 2022 to talk about the upcoming series. They teased what’s next for The Man Without Fear, including an appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Cox commented on issues related to the Netflix show after the presentation.
During a conversation with AdditionalCox said he’s not sure if Daredevil: Born Again will be a Netflix sequel. He hasn’t seen the script yet, but said, “My feeling, based on the title, ‘Born Again’, I think the point is that this is a new beginning, it’s going to be different, it’s going to be tonally different. It will be new stories and new ideas.” He also noted that Feige called Born Again season 1 rather than season 4 and confirmed his excitement about returning to the character.
Whether “Born Again” picks up where “Daredevil” left off or not, Cox knows fans should be grateful for his return. During the interview, he turned to SaveDaredevil community and assured them that he would remain true to character regardless of any change in tone. Cox showed Diversity that he had fun customizing his Matt Murdock to match She-Hulk’s tone, and isn’t afraid to explore more if Marvel Studios decides to give the character a lighter tone in Born Again.
D’Onofrio accepted Twitter after the presentation to express their excitement about Daredevil: Born Again. “I’m really looking forward to working with my friend Charlie again,” Kingpin said, “I know I can speak for Charlie when I say what we promise to bring you [an] the incredible Daredevil, reborn.”
