Britney Spears Finally breaking her silence about that infamous sit-down interview with veteran journalist Diane Sawyer. Superstar on December 13, whose 13-year-old stereotype recently ended, shared a now-deleted Instagram post, in which 37.7 million followers gave their unfiltered thoughts about the 2003 interview. “Dare we forget the Diane Sawyer interview in my apartment almost 20 years ago? What was with the ‘you’re wrong’ attitude?? Geez…and was making me cry???” She wrote. “Seriously… I lived in my apartment for a year and never talked to anyone… My manager put that lady in my house and talked to me on national television and she asked if I had a shopping problem. When did I have a shopping problem?”
Britney also opened up about struggling after their breakup Justin Timberlake almost two decades ago. The 40-year-old said, “Years ago when I had such a big breakup, I didn’t share anything that I couldn’t talk to after… I’ve never talked to anyone for very long… I was in shock.” Icon remembered. “My dad and three men were too lame to come to my door when I could barely speak… Two days later they put Diane Sawyer in my living room… They forced me to talk!”
Alex Weingarten, who served as Jamie Spears’ attorney, has Denied the role of Jamie in the interview, “Mr. Spears has no idea what Ms. Spears is talking about. Jamie never had an interview with Diane Sawyer and did not appear for any such interviews,” Weingarten said in a statement. People, “At this point he had nothing to do with Britney’s career and was completely uninterested in this interview. Jamie loves Britney dearly, wants Britney for nothing but the best and hopes that she Will continue to seek the help she needs to stay safe and sound.”
At the end of her lengthy post, Britney certainly didn’t hold back her thoughts. “I was a kid… I was almost 22 and didn’t understand… but I know it now!!!” She wrote, before adding that Sawyer might kiss her “white ass”. The Grammy winner and mother of two ended things on a positive note, however, saying she recently bought some chocolates, holiday socks and white wine thanks to her newfound financial independence. He also wished everyone a “wonderful Christmas”.
