Chernin Group Invests $100M in Night Capital –

Chernin Group and Night, Inc. are launching Night Capital, a new $100 million committed investment company to acquire high-profile consumer-facing companies in partnership with top talent.

Alexandra Moore, a former mergers and acquisitions executive at Amazon, will lead Night Capital as founding managing director.

TCG has also invested directly in Night, where TCG co-founder and partner Mike Kearns will join the board.

Night Capital’s directors include Night founder and CEO Reed Duchscher, Night president Ezra Cooperstein, Moore, Kearns, and TCG head Jacob Smilovitz.

“Night has been at the forefront of the ecosystem of talent and communities built online. Night Capital will be a unique new investment vehicle that allows content creators to become true owners of capital and participate in creating the long-term value of the enterprise,” said Dahsher, manager of YouTube megastar Jimmy Donaldson, also known as Mister Beast.

“We are thrilled to be working with Reed, Ezra and the Night Media team. They are some of the most enterprising and creative company builders in the creative economy,” Kearns said. “Our experience in investing in and helping to build massive consumer brands will be a great fit for Night and their creators.”

night, inc. was created “to reimagine talent management for the next generation of global superstars” and represents some of the biggest creators across industries including gaming, food, fashion and crafts. His assets include Night Studios for original content and Night Ventures, a $20 million seed fund.

Founded by Peter Chernin, Jesse Jacobs and Kearns, TCG is a consumer business building investment firm with a portfolio that includes Barstool Sports, Fullscreen, Hello Sunshine, Food52, MeatEater, Hodinkee and Epic Gardening.
