Criminal Minds revival gets title; Zach Gilford will reappear –

Upcoming Paramount+ Project criminal minds the revival now has an official title. Criminal Minds: Evolutionfrom ABC Signature and CBS Studios, premiering exclusively on Paramount+ this fall. Zach Gilford was also set to return for the season arc.

Criminal Minds: Evolution will continue and expand the franchise for streaming audiences, mixing serialized elements with the series format. The original CBS series Criminal Minds, which ran from 2005 to 2020, followed the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, Best of the Best, which represented the worst of the worst.

AT Criminal Minds: Evolution, the FBI’s elite team of criminal profilers face their biggest threat ever – an unknown who has used the pandemic to build a network of other serial killers. As the world reopens and the network goes live, the team must hunt them down, one kill at a time. Original actors reprising their roles include Joe Mantegna, AJ Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster.

Gilford will play Elias Voight, an operations analyst for a global cybersecurity firm with a dark side and an obsession with death.

Criminal Minds: Evolution produced by ABC Signature and CBS Studios. Erika Messer (Thinks Like a Criminal, Minds Like a Criminal: Beyond) serves as showrunner, executive producer and writer. Bryn Frazier and Christopher Barbour will serve as writers and executive producers, Glenn Kershaw will direct and executive produce, and Mark Gordon will also executive produce.

Guilford, best known for his role as QB Matt Saracen in friday night lights, just recently appeared on Netflix midnight mass horror series, and Good girls as well as The best in Los Angeles. His recent film work includes Purge: Anarchy as well as boy geniusand will be seen in the upcoming Lifetime movie. Disappearance of Cary Farver.
