While I’m still partial to classic clogs, I’d say the Crush sandals are more comparable in terms of comfort, and sometimes even more comfortable. I found that the responsive outsole and small platform provide perfect heel support if you stand longer than usual.
In terms of style, the sandals are also slightly thinner than your regular Crocs, which can be both a plus and a minus. I didn’t particularly like the placement of the holes in this particular style because, unlike the holes in clogs, they look more like a pattern. So I decided to spice mine up with a Jibbitz with my initials and year of birth – inspired by BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, of course – and that gave me that little extra oomph that I wanted.
However, I am a fast walker and have slipped out of my shoes a couple of times and I think the platform may be partly to blame and the other part due to my clumsiness! because I had the same problem with Classic platform clogs, which surprisingly didn’t turn out to be as comfortable as sandals, even though they might look a lot cooler. In terms of traction, I have no problem with classic no-platform clogs or wearing socks with platform models, although that might not be ideal for summer.
Lauren Ririck Classic Cozzy Sandal in Digital Violet
Like many others, I first fell in love with Crocs at the start of the pandemic. Shoes have become my favorite for errands, running and just living. I loved how easy it was to put on and how many colors and charms you could choose from. If it wasn’t for winter, I would wear my clogs all year round.
As for the latest Crocs creation, I love the classic Cozzzy Sandal, but I don’t think it will completely replace my clogs. The soft fluffy lining is very comfortable and it feels like my foot is mostly on a small cloud. However, I think with extended wear my foot will dent into the down and it might not look as perfect. True, shoes go through a lot. Also, if you like to wear sandals with socks like I do, then these shoes are not for you. My legs got super toasted when I tried this. The sandals come with hanging holes, but since you’re only limited to straps, you really don’t have the option to get creative with placement.
Sandals are definitely a fun and comfortable alternative to traditional sandals, but I don’t find them as practical as clogs.
Donya Momenian Classic Crush Sandals in Black
I have been looking for massive black sandals for a long time. I love how they contrast with the brightness and lightness of summer clothes, especially socks with lace trim or light green hem.
When I saw these platform sandals from Crocs, I was intrigued. It had been a while since I wore Crocs so I didn’t know what to expect. As soon as I put them on, I noticed how soft and comfortable the soles were, perhaps even softer than the clogs I remember thanks to the raised heel. They can definitely be worn for a while without causing pain or irritation – I know because I wore them when I washed the dishes.
