Deadliest Catch ends relationship with Josh Harris amid troubling allegations

As the seasons of Discovery’s Deadly Catch went on, viewers saw various sailors and captains come and go in and out of the spotlight. However, Josh Harris is one of the few who has a seemingly constant presence on the show. But the allegations of sexual assault ended Harris’ tenure on Deadly Catch.

Data reports that Harris was accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old girl back in 1998, when he himself was 15 or 16 years old. Without revealing graphic details of the attack, the unnamed child was the daughter of a sailor and a neighbor. The report goes on to say that due to a delay in DNA processing, Harris was not arrested until 1999, when he eventually admitted to the lesser charge of assault 4 and immoral contact with a minor.

It currently seems unknown why it took more than 20 years for these horrific accusations to come out, but Discovery certainly doesn’t allow time to heal all wounds. The representative of the cable channel bluntly said RadarOnline“We have been notified of this issue. Josh will not appear in future episodes of the show.” In addition to the flagship show, Harris is also starring in the Deadly Catch: Bloodline spin-off series, and it’s safe to assume his current banishment will expand to that as well.
