He is currently focused on releasing Black Adamwhich will be released in theaters on Friday, October 21st. The film had been in development for over a decade, with Johnson himself pushing for the DC character to get his own standalone film.

“When the first draft of the movie came to us, it was a combination of Black Adam and Shazam: two origin stories in one movie,” the action star said.
