Each pair on the hill of one tree, rating

While it may seem surprising that Skills (Antwon Tanner) and Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) don’t rank lower, it’s clear that the two of them had a much more mature relationship than many couples on the show.

Admittedly, it was a bit of a shock when Skills and Deb got together, but to be honest, they’re not a terrible couple. They only rank so low because of the inherent awkwardness of dating a close friend’s mom. At first, they are unaware that they are messaging online. They exchange racy photos, talk almost all day, and form a real bond. Then, when they first meet in person, they almost decide to cancel the date. However, they quickly realize that they are experiencing palpable sexual tension and begin a beneficial/secret friendship friendship.

However, Skills and Deb are both consenting adults: despite their slightly uncomfortable circumstances, they are legally allowed to be together. They have a hard time telling Nathan the truth about their relationship, but after that, they can have a pretty solid relationship for a while. But when the relationship becomes too unrealistic due to their age difference and different ideas about marriage and children, they act very mature and mature about their breakup. It’s very respectful and a good example of what an amicable breakup should be. It’s weird, but not the worst of the Tree Hill couples.
