I thought about destroying it a billion times so it wouldn’t fall into the wrong hands.” This is how the official trailer begins National treasure: the edge of history, An upcoming Disney+ series based on the hit film franchise. The trailer was unveiled on Saturday by series star Catherine Zeta-Jones and her fellow cast members during the Disney Branded Television presentation at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The series will premiere on Wednesday, December 14 with the first two episodes.
Lisette Olivera, Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodriguez, Jake Austin Walker and Lyndon Smith star in the series, which is executive produced by the film’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director John Turteltaub and writers Marianne and Cormac Wibberley. Harvey Keitel, who played Peter Sadusky in national treasure film franchise, guest stars in the same role.
The series is an extension national treasure a film franchise told from the perspective of young heroine Jess (Oliver) – a dreamer in search of answers about her family – who embarks on the adventure of a lifetime to uncover the truth about the past and rescue a lost Pan-American treasure.
