From finding love to finding support. Over the years, many members of the Bachelor Nation have joined Dancing with the Stars after their search for romance. While some have been extremely successful, others have failed.
Since both shows air on ABC, this is an easy transition for some. Caitlin Bristowwho first appeared in season 19 Bachelor before becoming a virgin on season 17, she was very vocal about how much she wished she could be on a reality show. When an offer was made to her, she could not accept it.
“I believe that men and women should be given equal opportunities,” she said. Entertainment tonight in 2017, two years after her season hen-party. “This was not the case with bachelors and bachelors. I was asked to do Dancing with the Stars and it was said [Bachelor creator] Mike [Fleiss] I could not. Mike told me it was bad for his brand and that he was sick of people wanting fame from his show.”
She also noted that as a dancer, her then fiancé also wanted to participate. Sean Booth also hoped that she would be able to compete.
“He even emailed Mike. I told Mike that this is my passion. I was told that Sean should be my only passion, ”she said then. “Speaking out, I hope that future bachelors will get the same opportunities as bachelors. Whether it’s a wedding, dance or other show. (Ben [Higgins] decided to do dance or his own show.) Just to be treated the same, to choose what makes them happy.”
Fleiss later insisted this was not true, tweeting that she “uses my full support if she wants to appear on DVTS!” She quickly replied, “Thank you, I will take advantage of this opportunity 2 years ago. I wonder what changed your mind?
In June 2020, Bristow’s wish finally came true. While her season was re-aired as part of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasonsmaster Chris Harrison offered her a seat in season 29 Dancing with the Stars – and she agreed.
