Let’s do the time warp again! Loki is set to return for a second season on Disney+ after Marvel fans were on their toes after the 2021 cliffhanger.
The first part of the sci-fi series ended with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in an alternate timeline after he and Sylvie (Sofia Di Martino) ran into He Who Remains AKA Kang (Jonathan Majors). The omniscient being proposed to Loki and Sylvia a radical change in the rules of the game – to take control of the Time Change Agency (TVA) and monitor all timelines together. They are both variants of the trickster god, which is why the multiverse wants to separate them. But Loki, who had fallen in love with Sylvia, was willing to run TVA if it meant they could stay together.
Unfortunately, Sylvia is determined to kill Kang after spending her entire life on the run from TVA. She passionately kissed Loki and pushed him through the portal to kill Kang and free the multiverse. Waking up in TVA, Loki discovered that Morbius (Owen Wilson) had no idea who he was, and a statue of Kang replaced the tribute to the Keepers of Time. Loki has clearly fallen into the wrong timeline, but can he return?
Disney+ told viewers in the end credits that Loki would return for a second season, and Di Martino would return as well. The MTV Movie and TV Award winner revealed that Sylvie will have to deal with some difficult feelings after losing Loki and killing Kang.

However, Di Martino said there was no better way to start the Sylvie season 2 storyline, adding, “What is she doing with [that sadness] yet to be seen. It’s an interesting place to start a new chapter.”
While most of the main cast are set to return, the director Keith Herron won’t be with them for a new batch of episodes. “I’m very excited to watch him as a fan next season,” Herron said. Term. “I just think I’m proud of what we’ve done here and I’ve given it my all.”
