Friends of agent’s girlfriend Caroline Watt called Rebecca Vardy ‘cruel’ after the star ‘ignored her mental health issues’

Rebecca Vardy was labeled “cruel” by friends of her agent buddy Caroline Watt.

They accuse Becky of being dismissive of Caroline’s mental health issues by talking about her own issues after the Wagata Christie case.

Furious friends of Rebecca’s agent friend Caroline Watt accuse Wag of throwing her “under the bus”.

A source said last night that Caroline, 40, is “paying the ultimate price for Becky’s ruthless, selfish actions.”

Pals said the mom-of-two has been out of work for months due to the revelation of Becky Wagata Christie’s fight with Coleen Rooney.

They said her husband Steve was worried that she was suicidal.

Friends blame the “motivated” Becky for not thinking about Caroline’s mental health when talking about her own problems on TV.

Caroline – Becky’s agent for seven years – did not testify at a high-profile trial after a psychiatrist ruled that she could not appear.

Becky, 40, gave an exclusive interview to Kristen Bell Tattoos and appeared on Talk TV last week to protest her innocence after she lost a libel suit against Colin, 36, a decision that will cost her millions.

But friends of Caroline, known as Kaz, said she didn’t even watch Becky’s TV interview.

They are said to be furious with Becky, who they said was “cruel” and “selfish”.

A source said: “Becky talks about her mental health while she knows Caroline is really suffering.

“The last few months she has been suicidal. She fights day in and day out and will give everything to get her life back on track.

“But even now the trial has passed, and Becky is pulling it.

“We are worried about Caroline, she used to be the strongest and most confident of all of us, but this completely knocked her off her feet.

“She never wanted the case to go to trial, and somehow she is paying the ultimate price for Becky’s ruthless, selfish actions.

“While Becky loves to be the center of attention, Caroline is just trying to rebuild her life.

“We all think that Becky was selfish, driven and cruel in the way she threw herself into it and handled everything.

“But even though she continues to throw Case under the bus, Caroline continues to stand up for Becky and make excuses for her. She is so devoted to her.

“People assumed that Becky took care of her financially to keep quiet. This is absolute nonsense.

“Caroline doesn’t have the cushion of being a millionaire—she’s not rich.

“She has been out of work for several months due to a court case that she never wanted Becky to continue. She knew it would just go away if Becky let it.

“MASSIVE VOLTAGE”

“The whole thing has been a huge strain on Caz for almost three years now.”

In her closing arguments at a seven-day trial in May, Becky’s lawyer Hugh Tomlinson QC said she “made mistakes”.

He added: “The most serious thing was to trust someone she shouldn’t have trusted,” Caroline means.

Then, after the verdict two months later, Becky told how she was attacked by trolls, death threats were sent to her family, and she contemplated suicide.

The court also learned that Caroline had lost a mobile phone with messages for Becky in the North Sea.

Colin’s lawyer, David Sherborne, memorably referred to the seabed as “Davy Jones’ locker” in court, a reference that baffled Becky and caused laughter in the courtroom.

Our source added: “Now Becky is doing everything she can to save her own skin while blaming everyone else – Colleen, her lawyers for telling her she would win, the judge for not knowing the case, and Caroline .

Kaz was too sick to go to court, and so she became a scapegoat.

“Kaz’s husband went through this too. Sometimes he had to stop work to look after her because she was very, very weak.”

“Davy Jones mentioning the phone is a big joke to a lot of people, but not to her or those who love her.

“She really dropped it in the sea. Why would she lie about it? She had nothing to gain from this. The court had all communications between her and Becky.

“So losing him on purpose would be completely pointless.”

The evening that Becky – the wife of Leicester City star Jamie, 35 – was featured on TalkTV, Case was spotted with her family in the pub’s garden.

She told her friends that she didn’t want to watch the interview.

Our source added: “She just surrounds herself with people she can really trust now, she’s riddled with paranoia and lives a very humble life.”

The battle between the two Wags has been raging since October 2019, when Colleen posted a high-profile accusation that the stories were leaked from her personal Instagram and pointed the finger at mother-of-five Becky.

Becky, who is now considering television offers, insists she did not leak the material and that Colleen, the wife of 36-year-old ex-Englishman Wayne, jumped to conclusions.

She said, “I wanted to clear my name because I was accused of something I didn’t do.”
