Hannah Einbinder is Us Weekly’s Most Exciting TV Star of 2022

The 2022 TV shows were full of exciting performances, but none of them were as exciting as Hanna Einbinder at HBO Max Khaki – that’s why it was named Us weeklyThe most exciting TV star of the year.

“It’s such an honor. I know that there are many hot stars who grace the cover of the magazine. Us so I feel much happier to be included,” Einbinder, 26, said. Us on Saturday, September 10th. “It’s really great for me, simply because I definitely struggle with self-doubt, like many artists and like many people. So a vote of confidence is a very, very good thing.”

She continued, “I think [this honor] just means, like, to stand out and surprise, which of course surprised me in my journey as an actor, my very short and new journey in this space. I think it’s a funny, shocking, new feeling.”

Starting with stand-up comedy, Einbinder eventually landed the role of young writer Ava Daniels in Khaki. The comedy series, which premiered on the streaming platform last year, has since been praised for its success on television. The California native even received an Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nomination at the 2022 Primetime Emmy Awards, which airs on NBC on Monday, September 12 at 8:00 pm ET.

“There are so many people around me inside Khaki and within [show’s] a script room and crew members that make me feel at ease every day when I go to work, and that really helps because when I stay in my own devices, I can kind of think about my job,” Einbinder said. . Us about working on an award-winning series. “I think for me there is a kind of dichotomy between acting and stand-up. [comedy]. I feel much more confident in [standup] just because of the years I spent going every night and developing my own stuff. And there’s something about writing for yourself that’s a little safer because you know the intent. [and] how it should be done.”

Despite less pressure when she took the stage with her own material, the Emmy nominee is “so lucky” to be surrounded by “an incredible, beautiful [and] support group” to help her up.

Einbinder – who starred in Khaki with serial output Gene Smart – even noted that she felt like a “fish in the water” during the filming of season 1.

“It all happened really fast and I was just trying to get through it, be good enough and just, like, not get fired and replaced.” North Hollywood the actress confessed to Us on Saturday. “But [filming] Season 2 had a fan base and people who responded lovingly to the show.”

Einbinder added, “I think there will just be a different version of my journey with the show as the seasons develop and continue. But the second season [in particular]I felt like I was in a better place just because of all the really wonderful outpouring of critical support and fans that were on the show. I relied on it a lot.”
