Here are some killer theories about “yellow shirts”

If you’ve been on Twitter, Reddit, or indeed any online forum lately, you’ve probably seen some Yellow jackets chatter that will almost certainly include fan theories about what’s going on in TF.

For the uninitiated Yellow jackets is a Showtime drama about a ’90s high school soccer team that survives a plane crash and ends up in the Canadian wilderness. The show follows the adult survivors of the accident after they were rescued, and also shows what they needed to do to survive.

Anyway, there are A LOT of fan theories about which season the final game will be in. Here are some of my favorites! (Sees serious spoilers ahead.)

one.

Maybe yellow jackets are NOT cannibals?

Showtime / Giphy / Via giphy.com

When we first meet the surviving yellow vests in Episode 1, they chase someone they * seem * to be eating, implying that the girls have become cannibals out of a sense of survival. But what if they are not there? Reddit user u / AshTronomy42 postulates, “Okay, they’re probably cannibals. Maybe cannibalism is not the worst secret. We’ve never actually seen them do anything other than slit their throats and suck the blood of the unfortunate victim we see in the first episode. also the first step to preparing the game, it may just be another “red” herring. This will explain the ritual elements of chasing a victim through the forest at the start of the pilot. Not to eat, but sacrificial blood to the earth to provide sustenance. “

2.

Jackie is not dead.

Showtime / Reddit / Via reddit.com

The first episode made us believe that Jackie (Ella Purnell) was who the other girls ate. Also, we haven’t come across an adult version of Jackie, implying that she never got out of the woods. BUT! Many fans are unsure if Jackie is actually dead for a number of compelling reasons, the biggest of which is the diary kept at her parents’ house that we are shown these days. Jackie’s diary refers to the films released after the 1996 plane crash. Yellow jackets would not have noticed, do you understand? Where is Jackie really? Is she a time traveler?

3.

Adam = Xavi?

Michael Courtney / Showtime

One of the most prevalent theories is that the sexual young love interest of older Shona (Melanie Lynskey), who calls herself Adam (Peter Gadiot), is actually Xavi’s adult (Luciano Leroux). Not that hard to believe since Xavi is only a few years younger than Shauna when they break up. We do not know what is happening to him, but we do know that Xavi has shown an interest in art. So does Adam, who has a mountain ridge tattoo that resembles geometric shapes as a mysterious symbol that continues to appear in the show.

4.

Shona’s baby is about to be eaten.

Showtime / Giphy / Via giphy.com

As we learn from the 1996 chronology, the teenage Shauna (Sophie Nelisse) is pregnant, and the father is Jackie Jeff’s boyfriend, whom the adult Shauna marries after saving the girls. We have no idea what’s going on with the pregnancy, other than that Shona is considering (and then giving up) attempting a home abortion in the woods. According to a Reddit user u / cool-name-pending, Shauna’s baby is about to eat. “She dreamed that she gave birth to food and then eats it? This is an omen 101. Whether they are forced to kill and eat the child (due to hunger), or the child dies naturally and they eat him, that child is devoured. “

5.

Lottie = The Horny Queen?

Showtime / Giphy / Via giphy.com

Vulture Roxanne Hadadi thinks Lottie, who has visions, must have the queen of antlers, which we meet in the first episode. “I’m going with Lottie (Courtney Eaton),” Hadadi writes. “We have had her clairvoyance throughout the season, and yes, I believe that she was indeed possessed by the spirit of the original owner of the hut, a dead French Canadian. She was the first to notice the flashing light from the hut, she notices the carvings in the trees, and she has this weirdness, Romeo + Juliet– walk by candlelight during baptism. I think Lottie’s ghost connection is lifting her up – and possibly her demise. Remember, not yet an adult Lottie. “

6.

Did the wolf attack happen?

Showtime / Giphy / Via giphy.com

Reddit user U / Bellsbeach has an interesting theory as to why the attack of the wolf in Episode 7 was not real: “First, Misty doesn’t wear glasses, although she looks completely normal, in the second frame, when she tells Taiyu,“ Wang there, go. help here “. She looks like a “regular Misty” with glasses in the first and third frames of the “attack”, when they are fighting off the wolves with torches, which were exactly ready for such an attack. torches or a dead wolf when the scene is over. Wang is away from the sleeping group and is attacked. Tai is high in a tree with a deer bone and a rocket launcher … Every time Ty sees a wolf as an adult, what we saw is in her head. She runs out of her current home and there is nothing there. “

7.

Sean’s husband Jeff is blackmailing the adults of the Yellow Jackets.

Show time

Hadadi also believes that Shauna’s husband Jeff (Warren Cole) should be the one blackmailing the group: “All signs now lead to Shauna’s drugged husband, who obviously doesn’t take inventory at all hours of the night and who is clearly responsible for the brilliance of the room. … Shauna’s closet (I think the time between the guy who blackmailed the Yellow Vests escaped in this modern silver car and when Adam showed up at Shauna’s house in his old pickup truck is too short to pin the blame on Adam) Plus Jeff knows Taissa. , he knows Misty, he knows Nat and he knows he’s going to piss them off. “

eight.

Who is this man without eyes?

Show time

At the beginning of the first season, we learn that Taissa (Tony Cypress) and her grandmother saw the Man without Eyes, and he appears in the forest during the opening credits. As the series plays out, Theissa (for both teens and adults) experiences periods of sleepwalking, hiding in trees, and eating dirt. a reaction that leads to her sleepwalking and obsessive eating of dirt. A man without eyes – a hallucination or a real boogeyman? Many of you Reddit tend to think that this is a stress / trauma response.

9.

Callie is actually Jackie’s baby ???

Show time

Ok, that’s not bad, but Redditor u / chelbro1024 says that maybe that’s why Shauna has such a shitty / strained relationship with her teenage daughter Callie (Sarah Desjardins): “I think Callie is somehow Jackie’s child. This is Sean’s safe birth certificate, notarized, along with their strange dynamics that make Sean think not her “real” mom, but also like Callie Jackie’s parents.

Jackie survives in the desert, reconciles with Jeff when they return home, and she becomes pregnant. Jackie is either hospitalized, missing, or dead. Shauna and Jeff met when Callie was little and just lied to her about her mom. She found out, and now she and Jackie are working together to blackmail a group of cannibals. “
