RYLAN Clarke revealed that he lost dangerously weight after the breakdown of his marriage left him with mental illness.
His weight dropped to 9-13 pounds, but thanks to a revised diet and exercise regimen, he gained over four stones, found exercise therapy, and felt confident for the first time posing topless.
The popular TV personality, who is currently divorcing his six-year-old cop husband Dan Neil, has promised to recover from a four-month summer vacation.
He said, “I got sick and lost weight, I went below ten stone – and I have six feet four inches, so this is not good.
“The honest truth is that it was shit.
“I didn’t understand what happened, and now I endure. I felt bad and it was a very difficult time for me. “
Rylan spent a lot of time with his mother, Linda, whom he describes as his mainstay.
He said, “My mom was very worried about me, like my whole family.
“I don’t just disappear for four months – it doesn’t just happen.
“Mom was my savior, and one of my biggest regrets this year is that Mom made me feel bad.
“I needed to get back to me.”
In the fall, Rylan returned to work on Strictly: Need Two and decided he wanted to get well.
He signed up for the Six Pack Revolution, a 75-day personal training plan led by body transformation guru Scott Harrison.
Rylan said, “As I started to feel more, I wanted to feel more confident in my body.
“My brother recommended Scott and we became best friends. It was amazing. This is not the end goal – this is just the first phase.
“Getting in shape and taking care of my body saved me. Fitness has set a goal for me. “
Scott coached Rylan at the TV star’s home gym and drew up a meal plan that included seven to nine healthy small meals and snacks a day, as well as cutting back on alcohol.
Rylan said, “This is more for my mental health than for my body, and it’s crazy because you can physically see the body change.
My mom was very worried about me, like my whole family. Mom was my lifesaver.
“For my head, it was the best distraction, and at the same time, it was a way to release a lot of emotion and focus on something other than what’s going on around me.
“It’s like pressing the reset button in your head. I haven’t had this before.
“I decided to take care of myself for a change instead of worrying about everyone else.
“Last year I lost myself a lot. I wanted to bring me back and make a better version. “
Rylan admits that at first he struggled with a dietary change. He said, “I was trying to gain weight. I’ve lost so much.
“The hardest thing I found was the food. I had to eat nine times a day – mostly protein. It was the hardest part, but you do it, and when you do it, you get that result.
“I liked the exercise, it turned into therapy.
“I’ve always had a home gym, but I just didn’t use it, so it was nice to use it for a change – I found I had decent equipment.
“Now I am a little over 14 stone – it’s not my stomach, but muscles. I want to double by the summer.
“It’s not just how you look, but how you feel. It’s nice to have an hour of exercise when you can focus on yourself.
Now I am a little over 14 stone. This is not the belly, this is the muscles. I want to double by the summer.
“It gave me a reason to get up. When Scott knocked on my door at half seven in the morning, you couldn’t stay in bed.
“I basically eliminated alcohol from my diet – it should have disappeared. I will not lie, it was not the easiest time for me – so it was a strange evening when I fell off the carriage and drank a glass of wine. “
Even Rylan is shocked by the effectiveness of the results.
He said, “I used to be so conscious that I didn’t even take off the top on the beach.
“Clothes come to me differently now – I can’t believe it. I’m not one of those topless shoots, but I wanted to shout about Scott’s program because he helped me a lot. “
Rylan is eager to get started this year, adding, “I’m going to open my arms wide and grab opportunities with both hands.
“I am glad that 2021 is over and I can’t wait to see what awaits us this year.
“As one of my best friends told me, ‘2022 is for you.”
How I taught him to nourish not only the body, but also the mind
RYLAN personal trainer Scott Harrison said: “He and I became great friends during training.
“The main change we made was feeding Rylan’s body the right food all the time.
“At first he was very satiated, but he did well to move on.
“I got by and taught him to push with strength training myself so I could get him past where he thought he was capable. It’s all about balance, trying to get him to eat protein, carbs, and healthy fats.
“He was ready for a change. What the regimen does for your mind far outweighs what it does for your body.
“I have also made great strides in the treatment of chronic diseases. Many diseases and anxiety arise from the fact that we do not eat properly. This is why proper nutrition works wonders for your mind. ”
Don’t forget the breakup, Miley
MILI CYRUS is a more daring woman than us, and she took the risk of wearing this very risky dress to the New Year’s party.
We would like to describe this as a slit, but we are not sure if this term applies to a dress that has more gaps than the fabric.
Surprisingly, the Wrecking Ball star managed not to fall out of it.
But sadly, the same can’t be said for the silver top that Miley wore to co-host her New Years Eve party on NBC, as the straps came off in a spectacular wardrobe malfunction.
The Party In The USA singer had no choice but to grab the fabric with her hands and unfold it to protect her modesty.
It’s nice to know that even Miley has exposure limits.
I have Noel’s time for an ABBA trick
OASIS rocker Noel Gallagher sparked a scandal with ABBA over their groundbreaking holographic performances, snapping, “It’s pointless.”
The Swedish pop legends announced earlier this year that they will be hosting a comeback tour with the Abbatars of their young men.
But Noel said, “I wouldn’t consider performing with me as a hologram. No, the audience must be engaged. You need a crowd in front of you. This is human interaction, and if you don’t have it, it’s pointless. “
Noel insisted that he would not follow suit, even if the pandemic ruled out live music.
And he said that the practical aspects of performing in old age are unlikely to be a problem for him, because he wants to die at 75 years old.
He said, “I want to live another 50 years? No. Think what a shitty world is now. I would rather not worry about it. At 75 I want to go.
“My plan for the next ten years is to release three great albums.”
Noel has a to-do list for the remaining years.
Speaking on Radio 1 last week, he said, “I would love to write a song with Johnny Marr and meet Bob Dylan.
“I would like to write and perform with Neil Young.
“I would like to record Quentin Tarantino’s box office soundtrack and play a round of golf with a therapist.
“I’m not very homesick.”
‘Nostalgic look back’
VETERAN Blue Peter host Connie Hook puts on a Beeb Centenary Show, looking back at the cultural effects of children’s television.
Connie, a mom of two, said: “There will be guests and famous people.
“It’s a nostalgic look at children’s television and social commentary about time.”
The show is tentatively titled The Unexpected Story of Children’s Television.
Connie has also launched a campaign to encourage families to recycle unwanted electrical items.

‘Feel like we have failed’
HOLLYWOOD star Margot Robbie has stated that she will not accept any New Year’s promises for 2022 – and there is no chance she will quit drinking due to Dry January.
The Suicide Squad star said: “Generally, New Year’s promises are only needed to make us feel like a failure, if we don’t lose weight, if we don’t eat organic foods, if we don’t go to the gym every time. morning.
“There will be no resolutions and no dry January in this house.
“It was a pretty tough couple of years for everyone. If you want a cold beer after a hard day at work, take it, if you want to order a pizza, do it! “
Margot, married to Tom Eckerley, says she misses London after moving to Los Angeles in 2017, saying, “I’ve had some of the best times of my life in this incredible city.”
