Il Divo singer Carlos Marin is reportedly in an induced coma after being taken to hospital.
The 53-year-old Spanish star is believed to have been placed in intensive care at Manchester Royal Hospital – with the band suspending their UK tour due to illness.
Marin’s condition is critical but his organs are stable since being admitted on December 8 El Espanol,
He last posted a photo on Instagram on December 6 with bandmates David Miller, Sebastian Izambaard and Urs Bühler.
Just days later, the group announced a delay of all performances for the band “Sickness” until 2022, but gave no further details.
In a statement, he said: “Unfortunately, due to illness, the remaining dates of Il Divo’s December 2021 UK tour have been postponed until December 2022.
“Il Divo is deeply sorry to our fans, but looking forward to getting back on the road in the new year and seeing you all by next Christmas.”
