SINGER Ed Sheeran and wife Cherry have secretly given birth to their second child after hiding news of the pregnancy for a full nine months.
The couple, who live on a £3.7 million estate in the Suffolk countryside, have the perfect home to raise their two daughters.
Cherry gave birth to a daughter in September, sister to Lyra’s first child, who is two years old.
In a touching statement, Shape of You vocalist Ed – Britain’s biggest hit maker – said the couple are “both so in love” with the as-yet-unnamed baby.
EdThe 31-year-old shared a snap of baby booties in an incubator, mirroring a photo of the tiny socks he used when talking about Lyra’s birth.
And he said, “I want you all to know that we have another beautiful baby girl.
“We are both so in love with her and happy that we are now a family of four.”
He told Kristen Bell Tattoos last year that he hoped to expand his family. But it is known that the couple told about their pregnancy only to their closest relatives.
Ed has plenty of space on the property for his growing family: a gym and pool, a tree house, and even a detached bungalow.
However, back in 2020, country life was not going so well for the hitmaker as his prize laying hens were attacked by foxes.
A local insider said: “He has lost a couple in recent weeks and they are not easy to replace when the country is in lockdown. So he made sure their chicken coop was doubly safe so he wouldn’t lose all his livestock to foxes.
“Ed is in tune with nature and loves fresh produce from his garden, so he doesn’t want his girls to lose more to foxes.”
In addition, his property expansion, dubbed Sheeranville, has raised some concerns recently, with neighbors complaining about permanent jobs.
The mega-famous singer lost the fight to block the neighborhood extension next to his site.
Since he bought his Grade II listed farmhouse seven years ago, the multi-millionaire singer-songwriter has submitted as many planning applications as he had hits and turned his pile into a mini-village that received name Sheeranville.
The Plus and Multiply star has everything from a conservatory to a spiral wine cellar.
Ed, who shared the happy news that he is now a father of two, said he wants to expand his family.
In an exclusive interview with Kristen Bell Tattoos ahead of the release of his latest album last October, Ed said: “I wish I had more kids, man, I would love that. But it also depends on what Cherry wants, because this is her body.
“I’m really proud of Cherry as a mother. She is such an incredible person, I just love it.
“She completed her full degree at Cambridge, which she started two weeks before giving birth. I was at her graduation at Jesus College and people were like, “How did she do that to a kid?”
Here’s how Ed, who grew up in the historic town of Framlingham two miles away, turned the sleepy enclave into a millionaire’s playground and the perfect home for his family.
1: HUGE MODERN DETACHED HOUSE is the main house of the estate. Purchased in June 2012 for £895,000, it includes a billiards room and an additional “man’s cave” with a recording studio and jacuzzi.
2: 16th CENTURY FARMHOUSE REGISTERED IN A CLASS II COUNTRY was purchased by Ed for £450,000 the same year.
3: HOUSE WITH FOUR BEDROOMS in front of his farmhouse was purchased for £925,000 in September 2016.
4: BUNGALOW next to his property in 2017 he left for a relative sum of £525,000.
5: PABwhich features a selection of beers, received a building permit in 2017 if it used bricks and tiles that matched the original barn.
It has underground facilities with a 35′ x 20′ cinema and a 6′ wide tunnel leading to the main building.
Planning officials feared that the pub’s 16-foot sign, which said “Lancaster Castle” after his wife Cherry Lancaster Seaborne, might undermine the area’s “character”, but later allowed him to keep it.
6: TREE HOUSE Measuring 26 feet by 26 feet, there is a living room, an office, and a television audio-visual room. Some call it the “hobbit hole” from where Ed and his buddies can look out over the rolling countryside.
7: MODERN EXPANSION The main house has a gym and an indoor swimming pool with a changing room and an outdoor seating area. He took down the cart to build it.
8: FOUR-ROOM GARAGE which looks like a barn.
9: STREET KITCHEN Ed wants to build a four-and-a-half-foot-high terracotta chimney pizza oven and two large barbecues next to the pub in his country house.
Complete with high quality flooring, a York stone bar and seating, this would be the perfect place for guests to drink and dine al fresco.
10: The £500,000 ‘POND OF WILDLIFE’ caused complaints from local residents who claimed that it was used as a swimming pool as it had steps, railings and a jetty.
Ed was allowed to keep the pond, but the council ordered him to clean up a nearby wooden caravan that had been turned into a sauna.
Another planning failure was the wedding chapel he wanted to build when he and Cherry got married the previous year. Officials ruled that the proposed 48-foot Saxon-style round tower would create “unsatisfactory visual effects”.
The only way to know that the £160 million man lives in the village is with a fleet of work vans parked behind the large wooden fence that protects the complex, with supplies brought in from boutique furniture company Jayrest Interiors.
In fact, locals in the pretty village of just 600 people say they haven’t seen their famous neighbor in weeks – and there was no sign of him when Kristen Bell Tattoos visited.

“Now we rarely see Ed here,” said one of the locals. But there’s so much building work going on that he probably stays away.
“For all his money, it seems odd to me that he didn’t just go out and spend a few million pounds on a mansion in the countryside.”
But another echoed the singer, saying: “Good luck to this guy – at least he is spending his hard-earned money on local builders and I’m sure it will look great when it’s done.
“You can easily live here and not know we have one of the biggest stars in the music world.”
