AS the undisputed queen of pop, Madonna should throw a royal birthday party.
I can tell she spent thousands on the party to remember as she turns 64 today.
True to her ‘Material Girl’ moniker, Madonna will send friends and family to Sicily after falling in love with the Italian island on a previous trip.
For several weeks, the singer prepared for a sumptuous dinner at the Palazzo Castelluccio, a stunning 18th-century Sicilian palace.
The festive evening will end with live music under the stars.
A source said, “Like every birthday, Madonna will throw a big party, but this year it’s going to be special.
“The palace is just amazing. I can only imagine how she blew tens of thousands in an evening. But when you’re worth £700 million, money isn’t an issue.
“The plan is to dine and drink al fresco under Mediterranean skies with live music. Her whole family flies with her to the island.”
Teasing her big day in typically unassuming style, she took to Instagram to share a series of racy snaps with the caption, “My birthday is coming soon. . . send me gifts.”
Last year, Madonna celebrated her birthday in Italy with her boyfriend, professional dancer Ahlamalik Williams.
However, in April, Kristen Bell Tattoos reported that the couple had separated after three years.
Madonna survived several weeks when she returned to the charts again.
Not only did she appear on the remix of Beyonce’s Break My Soul, but she also released a remix of her 1984 hit Material Girl with TikTok rapper Saucy Santana.
Last week, she hosted an album launch party in New York with Chic’s Nile Rodgers to celebrate the release of her “Finally Enough Love” remix album.
Appearing on the American TV show Tonight Starring Jimmy Kimmel, Madonna looked back on how she started her record-breaking career.
She said, “I would bring my tapes to DJs and beat them relentlessly because I just wanted them to play my tape. I finally got one to play Everyone and I swear to God I had to promise everyone to play it.
“When he played it, everyone stood up and started dancing, and it blew my mind.
“That was everything to me. Nile Rodgers wanted Material Girl to be my first single, but somehow Like A Virgin became it. Those were the days when I didn’t talk about anything.”
Four decades later, I think it’s safe to say she’ll be talking about just about everything at this week’s party.
Nic doll is having fun at the party
NICOLE SHERZINGER looked radiant in California as she headed for a day of pampering.
The Pussycat Dolls singer wore a floral dress as she headed to the annual Day Of Indulgence party in Los Angeles.
Hosted by television and film producer Jennifer Klein at her home, the star-studded women’s event also included Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham.
It offers guests the opportunity to shop at pop-up boutiques, enjoy spa treatments, and take home many expensive gifts.
This comes after Nicole recently revealed that during the pandemic, she has “found more balance in her life.”
She told American pastor Tura Roberts on his One podcast, “We were forced to slow down and I could hear my heart whisper.
“I had more inner balance, and I was reminded of what I really loved and called for.”
LEE-ANN PINNS HOPES FOR ALISON
LEE-ANN PINNOK may be one of the biggest stars in the country, but behind closed doors she’s just like us mere mortals.
The Little Mix singer admits that she loves watching reality shows more than anything and can’t wait for Big Brother to return.
Taking to Twitter, Leigh Anne has supported This Morning host Alison Hammond to helm a new series that launches on ITV2 next year.
Sharing a report that Alison is a favorite among producers to follow in Davina McCall’s footsteps, she wrote, “Please, please let it be true,” and a heart-shaped eyes emoji.
Leigh Ann has recently returned to the UK after a well deserved one month break in Greece.
The star used her free time to think about how to pursue a solo career now that Little Mix is on hiatus.
Earlier I told how she landed a major record deal with Warner Records UK.
The move means she is now friends with fellow British stars Dua Lipa and Ed Sheeran.
I hope they put a TV in the studio for her so she can watch all the BB’s action when they get back.
CONGRATULATIONS to James Bay on announcing he has tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Lucy Smith.
The Hold Back The River singer shared the news on Instagram, adding two wedding photos with the caption: “Mr and Mrs Bay, August 2022.”
James and music promoter Lucy have been together for 15 years and welcomed their first child, Ada Violet, last October.
The British Award winning star previously credited his new wife for inspiring his music and revealed he “wouldn’t be here without her”.
JESS RETURNS WITH THE HELP OF BRIT
JESSIE J is back in the studio and has sent two songs to Britney Spears as part of plans for a huge comeback next year.
I can report that hit maker Price Tag wrote a ballad for Britney, as well as a track similar to the American singer’s 2004 record My Prerogative.
Jessie, who announced she suffered a miscarriage last year, is determined to reflect that pain in her lyrics and hopes to move in a pop-soul direction after releasing new music for the last time in 2018.
A music insider said: “Jessie has been so candid about her personal experiences and wants to turn pain into strength to inspire people who have been through what she’s been through.
“She sent two songs to Britney and is also working with US band Louis York on new music with an eye on a massive comeback in 2023.
“Jessie wrote some of her new songs in isolation and also in LA where she worked with Louie on their Songs With Friends album.”
It comes after the Do It Like A Dude singer opened up about her struggles with fame at a sold-out performance in London last month.
On stage, she said, “When I talk to my parents after the concert, I take pictures of her.
“This whole celebrity thing seems so weird to me and people are even more obsessed with how I look than I am.
“I gained weight and haven’t been to the gym in a long time. But to be honest, I feel great. I’m not 17 anymore and I want to have a baby. I’m trying to do it and my body is changing shape.”
ROBBIE FEELING IBIZA’S LOVE
I’m AFRAID that my days in Ibiza are long gone, even if a pint of beer on a summer day is still one of life’s greatest pleasures.
So I have nothing but admiration for Robbie Williams, who just finished his trip to Party Island completely sober.
Not only that, he also hosted a series of energetic late-night concerts with drunken revelers dancing around him.
Robbie has made surprise appearances at 528 Ibiza, Ibiza Rocks and the legendary Pikes, once popular with greats George Michael and Freddie Mercury.
Joining the DJ band Lufthaus, Robbie performed a string of the band’s hits as well as a dance remix of his 2002 hit Feel.
While a bottle of Gray Goose vodka sat on top of the DJ booth, teetotaler Rob, who hasn’t had a drink in over 20 years, opted for carbonated drinks.
A source said: “Rumors that Robbie was going to appear have been going around for several days, but no one knew exactly when and where. When he did it, he seemed to enjoy it. At one point in the Pikes, he stepped out of the booth to have some fun in the crowd.
“By the time he got to Ibiza Rocks, there were a few bachelorette parties that were worn out. They were in seventh heaven from his appearance.”
Robbie’s latest venture into dance music was his 2006 album Rudebox. I’m glad to see that his return to the dance floor has been much better received.
HIT JACK SNABA FESTIVAL
I VERY sympathize with the organizers of Reading and the Leeds Festival.
They’ve been working hard all year to put on one of the biggest events of the summer, only to have arrogant celebs drop out just days before taking the stage.
Jack Harlow and Maneskin scrapped plans to perform at the following weekend’s celebration in favor of performing at the MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey.
Now the bosses had to struggle to find a belated replacement.
In a statement, the organizers said: “We are saddened that Jack Harlow and Maneskin have chosen to perform at the awards ceremony on the same weekend they were confirmed to play in Reading and Leeds.
“We’re working on some interesting replacements.”
