Jason Momoa and his wife Lisa Bonet broke up. They announced on Instagram in a joint statement that after 4 years of marriage and 16 years of being together, they are “freeing each other” to become the people they are “learning to become.” The two say they will maintain an unwavering loyalty to their blended family.

Star of “Game of Thrones” and his wife, who starred in The Cosby Show, announced their breakup, seemingly out of nowhere. The statement hints at the changing nature of life and how they, too, have changed.
“We have all felt the shrinking and changing of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding, and our family is no exception… feeling and evolving from the seismic shifts taking place,” their statement reads artfully. “So ~ We’re sharing our family’s news ~ We’re breaking up in marriage.”
They explained that they chose to announce their breakup not because they “think it deserves newsworthiness,” but because they can move forward in their lives “with dignity and honesty.” They continued by acknowledging that their “dedication to this sacred life is unshakable” and their children, whom they have two together.
The Game of Thrones star met his future wife in 2005, but has been eyeing her for much longer.
That Aquaman the star and actress got married four years ago, but have been together since a friend introduced them to a jazz club in 2005.… They got married in October 2017 after dating more than a decade. It was the first marriage for Momoa and the second for Bonet, who married rock star Lenny Kravitz in 1987. They broke up in 1993.
Momoa always had his eye on Bonet, and in 2017 he remembered about Late Late Show with James Corden, who saw his future wife on TV.
“Since I was 8 years old and I saw her on TV, I thought, ‘Mom, I want her,’ he told Corden. “I’m like, I’m going to haunt you for the rest of my life, and I’m going to get you.”
While it seems like the rift came out of nowhere, Bonet may have hinted at a transformation in an interview last month. When asked about her calling, Bone replied: “Learn to be truly yourself”, and “be new,” which sounds similar to the transformation times mentioned in their announcement.
