The brotherly relationship between Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki reflects their on-screen dynamic. And, as with any fraternal dynamic, this often means conflicts arise. Everything seemed to go smoothly until the conclusion of Supernatural. But when it became known that Ackles would be producing the new Supernatural series, it suddenly became clear that someone was not in the know. The Winchesters, a Supernatural prequel set to release just in time for Halloween, will detail the relationship between John and Mary before Sam and Dean entered the picture. Although the character of Padalecki would not have been created yet, it hurt the actor to be kept in the dark.
“I am happy to watch, but saddened that Sam Winchester did not take part,” Padalecki wrote on his Instagram page. Twitter. This added fuel to the fire of rumors around the actors and their disagreements. Fortunately, this did not last long, and the guys reconciled. On Michael Rosenbaum’s “Inside You” podcast, Ackles clarified that Padalecki’s silence does not signify his exclusion (via movie web). This was just the beginning of the process, so he kept his cards to himself. As for Padalecki, everything is forgiven him. He took Twitter again to reassure fans that he and Ackles were as tough as ever.
“@JensenAckles and I had a great conversation, as we often do, and all is well. The show is at the beginning of the process and there are still many miles to go,” wrote Padalecki.
