“What do I know I want to sing tonight,” she wrote at the time. “Not because I’m avoiding suffering or the process, but because I know singing tonight will help me. I’ve done 2 shows in 2 years and my soul needs it. Even more today.”

Now, the 33-year-old — who privately decided to have a baby on her own — revealed that her initial reaction didn’t allow her to fully process her grief. “I posted about losing my baby just hours after I was told. I reacted in work mode,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white clip of her from the concert.

Jesse shared that she now understands “why women so often talk openly about the need and need for abortion.” She continued, “I’ve never experienced physical pain and trauma or felt so lonely. The artist also sent his love for abortionists, saying it was “one of the worst feelings in the world.” “I guess I’m here to say to someone who hasn’t been told this, you’re allowed to break down.
