Inviting her on the show to clear things up, Jimmy Kimmel didn’t apologize to Quinta Brunson for nothing, telling her he was “very sorry.”
Quinta Brunson is currently still on top of her. recent Emmy win for outstanding writing for her popular series Abbott Elementary, but many are still upset by Jimmy Kimmel’s behavior during her acceptance speech. Apparently after learning about the intense online backlash, Kimmel publicly apologized for his “stupid comedic piece” that took a wrong turn.
“People said I stole your moment. And maybe I did, and I’m sorry if I did. I’m sorry I did do it, really. Also, the last thing I want to do is upset you because I think about you so much. I think you know it. I hope you know that,” Jimmy Kimmel told Quinte Brunson in front of an audience in the studio.
In response to his apology, Quinta told him, “Well, Jimmy, let me just say thank you. It’s very nice of you. I honestly was in that moment just to have a good time. For example, I won my first Emmy. I was happy there, I was absorbed in the moment and just having a good time.”
