KANYE West friend Jason Lee has revealed why the Donda star has indeed disappeared from social media and public life following his nasty feud with Kim Kardashian.
The rapper staged a series of public attacks against his ex-wife amid their divorce.
However, things quieted down after Kanye, 44, dropped out of Coachella in April and deleted all of his Instagram posts.
In an interview with DifficultKanye’s personal friend and new head of media partnership Jason Lee, 43, has spoken out about the rapper’s recent silence on social media.
“Ye is the only person who controls Ye,” he said of the enigmatic designer, hit maker and protagonist of the Kardashian drama.

Billionaire Yeezy shares North, eight; Saint, six; Chicago, four; and Psalm Three, with his former reality TV star.
However, Kanye recently broke his silence to announce a collaboration with McDonald’s.
Of the Atlanta native’s future, Jason said, “He’s surrounded by wonderful people who advise and support his creative vision.”
However, the new media boss did not defend Kanye’s past actions, stating, “It doesn’t make what he said in the past, or what he did, right.”
THERE ARE NO MORE FAVORITES
Kim filed for divorce in February 2021 after almost seven years of marriage and a year of ups and downs, including Kanye’s failed presidential campaign.
He has since lashed out at his ex-wife through his music and social media posts.
Angry that she was leaving, he launched a nasty attack on Kim’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, 28.
Kanye blew the set of Saturday Night Live while Kim hosted the show and was outraged when she kissed Pete in the script.
In an interview with Hollywood Unlocked, the outraged ex said, “How are you going to bring me to SNL and then kiss the dude you’re dating right in front of me?”
NEVER EASY
The father of four bought a $4.5 million home right across the street from Kim’s $60 million mansion in Los Angeles.
He then released a new song called EAZY that threatened her boyfriend.
The track was followed by two disturbing music videos which featured an animated character in which he was a Pete-like character.
But the SNL star fought back and wrote to the bitter ex, “I’ve decided I won’t let you treat us like this again and I’m sick of being silent.
“Grow up, damn it.”

Meanwhile, Kim and Kanye try to mend their new co-parenting relationship while he spent time in Tokyo with his new girlfriend, Cheney Jones, 24.
The former couple also struggled over their eldest daughter North’s use of social media, especially her presence on TikTok.
