Rising crime rates in Los Angeles are a burning issue in this year’s LA mayoral race. And the problem has just come closer to home for one candidate.
Democratic Congresswoman Karen Bass said on Saturday that her home was robbed.
“I came home last night to find my home had been broken into and robbed,” the Bass campaign said in a statement. “The LAPD was called and I appreciate their help. So far, only two firearms appear to have been stolen, although they were kept intact. There was no money, electronics and other valuables. It’s unnerving and unfortunately too many people in Angeleno have experienced it.”
The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet made any statement about this.
