Michael Keaton Responds to Batgirl’s Emmy Cancellation

After being asked how he felt about Batgirl’s cancellation, Michael Keaton gave a quick response. “I think it was a business decision,” admitted Keaton (via Diversity). “I guess it was good. I really do not know”. The actor also noted that he didn’t really follow the story much and seemed to be oblivious to it all.

Keaton then moved on to the second part of the question, answering when fans will next see him as Batman. “A little later in the evening, perhaps, with luck,” he joked to an audience of journalists. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to shed any light on when we actually saw him reprise his role as Batman in a DC movie, and it didn’t look like he was trying to keep a secret – it looks like he really didn’t. don’t know. Keaton apologized for the boring response, but he seems to be as clueless as the rest of us. In addition to the now-discontinued Batgirl, Keaton has appeared in the Caped Crusader scenes in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash.

According to Hollywood ReporterKeaton was likely replaced by Ben Affleck in the second Aquaman movie as test audiences found the OG’s look confusing. With Project Flash still up in the air, who knows if we’ll ever see Keaton’s The Dark Knight again?
