And yes, you might have guessed by now that this is due to the religious connotation associated with the name.

In Christian theology, the name Lucifer refers to the devil before his fall. But the Latin meaning of the name actually means “morning star”.

However, as you know, people are more likely to cling to the fact that she named her son after the devil.

Talking about Jeremy Vine at 5 the show, Josie explained that she received a lot of hate after revealing her child’s name.

When asked what made her think about the name, she said, “I spent hours looking at many names with my partner and I didn’t like any of them, Lucifer popped into my head and I stayed with him.”

“I had a lot of criticism,” she continued. “I just got over it, to be honest.

“If I educate him correctly, he will not care what people say, unfortunately, in our time, everyone has their own opinion, and there is little you can do about it.

And in conversations with people who criticize her choice, she says that it is best for her to say: “He is my son, not yours, I call him that, put up with it.”

What do you think of the name? Yes or no?
