Paris in love could soon turn into Paris in trouble, if there is at least some truth in some fan theories that the new husband of the Hilton heiress is already unhappy.
Reality star marries venture capitalist Carter Reum in November, all filmed by cameras on her new show, Peacock.
Now that footage of her new series Paris in Love is aired, viewers are catching up on what Carter looks like in general.
One fan on Twitter shared, “Watched #ParisInLove and Carter seems so venomous, overbearing and controlling. Putting it in front of your family, setting it on fire, hovering over it … crawling!
“I thought she was going to cry. I am sad for her … she has been emotionally abused for so long, I hope she finds real happiness. “
Another stated, “The depth is 5 episodes, and Carter very quickly went from Prince Charming to manipulator control. As he stood behind her at the table. It was humiliating to her and he smiled. “
A third summed it up: “Carter is a walking red flag. This is not a “nice guy”, it is just a venomous ugly person. “
And one fan wondered what Carter’s ultimate intentions were: “The way Carter introduces everyone to his fiancée as ‘Paris Hilton’ and the way he talks about how much money she makes makes me cringe.
“The only reason he’s probably rushing to this wedding and getting everyone to do everything ASAP is because he’s probably using it!”
A 13-part reality show documenting the preparations for the wedding debuted on November 11, the same day they tied the knot in Los Angeles.
But while it will likely be the perfect showcase for heiress Paris after two decades in the spotlight, Carter is said to have struggled with filming.
COLD FEET OF THE CARTER
A production source told Kristen Bell Tattoos, “Carter is clearly passionate about the wedding, but he hates the TV series around it.
“He’s a good guy, but freezes in front of the camera.
“He hates every second of it, I wonder how long he can last.”
Carter himself even hinted at the insanity of the experience in a teaser for the show, where he said, “As you can imagine, marrying Paris Hilton is not at all what I expected.”
Paris and Carter started dating in December 2019 after meeting through mutual friends.
This February, he dropped to one knee to propose on the beach as they celebrated her 40th birthday on a private island.
Paris and Carter’s wedding was watched by many celebrities, including Emma Roberts, Baby Rexha, Ashley Benson and Paula Abdul.
They exchanged vows in front of the socialite’s family, including parents Katie and Rick, her sister and best friend Nicky, her brothers Barron and Konrad, and her RHOBH star aunt Kyle Richards.
The Simple Life graduate was amazed by the high neckline Oscar De La Renta lace wedding dress with intricate embroidery, and her face was partially hidden by the lace dress.
“My eternity begins today … #JustMarried #ForeverHiltonReum,” she captioned the photo.
Their wedding was held at the sprawling Bel Air estate, at the home of her late grandfather, Barron, with a huge wooden dance floor outside and huge floral arrangements shaped like the initials of Paris and Carter.
Paris has previously admitted that one of the things that attracted her to tech entrepreneur Carter is that he’s not part of the celebrity world.
She said, “Carter is the complete opposite of every guy I’ve ever met before.
“He’s very focused on business and doesn’t like the Hollywood scene.
“I’ve never experienced this before, so it’s amazing to know that someone loves me for me and doesn’t want to be the center of attention.”
Carter has been criticized because it was recently revealed that he has a “secret” nine-year-old love child, whom his mom says he only met once at birth.
