Speaking exclusively to Kristen Bell Tattoos Online, he remained silent regarding the exact details of the new series and which channel it would air on.

But confirmed that his doctor wife Emily McDonagh, 32, son Junior, 16, and daughter Princess, 14, will star in the new show.

And with Junior signed to a huge Columbia Records deal and proud father Pete helping his son guide him as he follows in his footsteps, this series will be very different from his last.

His previous reality show was launched in 2009 on ITV2 with almost two million viewers a week and was a huge success.

This went on for ten episodes before Pete made the decision to leave in 2013 following the tragic death of his 54-year-old brother Andrew from kidney cancer.

Pete said: “Over the years, I have been constantly asked if I would ever return it, and the answer has always been no.

“But it’s about doing it a little differently and the kids are older now. The princess is about to take her final exams, and Junior starts his career in the music industry.

“So we can show two completely different sides of teenage life. Emily’s career is also developing.

“Besides, there is a whole side to music management because my team looks after it.

“This is a really exciting time for Junior and I can’t wait for everyone to see how hard he works on his music.

“The other day we were on the set of his music video when this young girl ran right past me, walked up to Junior and said, “Please, can I take a picture with you?”

“She couldn’t believe it when she saw him. She gave me her phone and said can you take a picture of me and Junior?

“Of course I did. It was a great moment to share something like this with my son and see the hype it’s already causing.

“I’ve had a few people asking me if we’re planning to record a father-son duet, but I want all the attention to be on him.

“I’m writing a couple of songs for a movie soundtrack, I have a few more TV shows ahead of me, and I’m in Grease on the West End stage, which has been a dream come true for me.”

Pete’s wife, Emily, tried to keep her two children, Amelia, eight, and Theo, five, out of the public eye.

Pete added: “From the beginning, Emily has always said no. She wanted to keep their childhood a secret.

“But if Amelia gets to the age where she is 13 or 14 and wants to start doing something, then we will discuss it. Theo is still so young. he thought, why does everyone say “Peter”? It was so sweet.”

Pete spoke at a special event in London where he launched the “BBQ Beyond” campaign and hosted a summer BBQ using products from the plant-based powerhouse Beyond Meat.

He said: “This is the future of food. I always thought it would really be something when it does, it’s about the right flavor and texture.

“I was BBQing at home the other day and gave Emily a Beyond Meat burger. Now she’s a very smart, highly intelligent woman, and she couldn’t tell the difference.

“She couldn’t believe it.”

Health-obsessed Peter says the family now eats plant-based foods three days a week.

He said: “I think more and more people are starting to realize that there are so many incredible flavors out there without having to eat animal meat. Now I love animal meat, but I also love plant foods.

“I usually train five times a week. There are weeks when I relax a little, but usually it’s five times a week.

“And I eat what I want, but I balance it, that’s what it’s all about.

“Burgers or sausages? I am Australian, so there will always be only hamburgers for me.”

Now we make sure to eat plant-based meat at least three times a week.

“I’m a flexitarian, I want to have a balance.

“Burgers or sausages? I am Australian, so there will always be only hamburgers for me.”
