An updated version of the classic film, to take home for the Thanksgiving holiday Airplanes, trains and automobiles Being re-released with over an hour of additional footage.

The Steve Martin and John Candy comedy is now on 4K Ultra HD and includes a bonus “Lost Goods” Blu-ray disc featuring deleted and extended scenes recently unearthed from director John Hughes’ archives.


The film details Martin and Candy’s struggle to get home to Chicago when their plane is diverted to Wichita, Kansas. Herty is born with a touching final scene.

The bonus Blu-Ray disc also includes Dylan Baker’s audition for the role of Owen, who offers rides in his orange pickup truck, as well as a tribute to the late John Candy and a two-part tribute to director John Hughes. There is also a documentary film.

Hughes wrote and directed the film, which was originally released on November 25, 1987, and was re-released by Paramount Home Entertainment for its 35th anniversary.Th Birthday on Tuesday.
