Prince Harry reportedly found it “difficult” to be in Prince William’s company from time to time last week.
The two brothers, who have been separated for several years, have been forced to spend time together since their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, died on September 8th.
A source close to Harry told London’s Sunday Times that while the brothers were “uncomfortable” in each other’s company, “everyone is trying their best.”

The Prince of Wales, 40, and the Duke of Sussex, 38, delighted royal fans last week when they appeared alongside their wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle to view flowers and cards laid out outside Windsor Castle in honor of the late monarch.
The exit, however, was marked by awkward body language displayed by both Markle, 41, and Middleton, 40, who were uncomfortable during their reunion.
The former Fab Four appeared to put on a united front on Tuesday as they sat down to dinner with other members of the royal family after receiving Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin.
On Saturday evening, they also stood watch with their cousins at the coffin of the late monarch.
Prince Harry wore a military uniform after receiving special permission from King Charles III. He was previously forced to wear civilian clothes at public events as the Queen died due to being stripped of her military ranks when he stepped down from royal duties in 2020.
However, the Duke is said to have been “devastated” to find that his grandmother’s initials “ER” had been ripped from his shoulder on his uniform.
“He is heartbroken,” one friend told the London Sunday Times. “The removal of his grandmother’s initials seems very deliberate.”
The two brothers also shared a brief encounter earlier this week when William, who was picking up the children of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis from school, drove past his brother and Markle while they were in a separate car. They reportedly drove past each other but then stopped, turned around and rolled down their windows to have a short chat.
Despite this chance meeting, the truce seems to be temporary.
A friend of the brothers said that speaking together “required effort,” and they both understood that it was necessary to show “solidarity.”
“I don’t think it goes much further than that. There have been a few awkward moments this week,” a source told the London Sunday Times. “I definitely don’t feel any deeper meaningful convergence or feeling that this is it: everything will be fixed.”
The brother’s relationship has been frosty since at least 2019, when Harry shared in an interview that he and William are “definitely on separate paths at the moment.”
Relations further deteriorated when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who left royal life in 2020 and moved to California, gave a high-profile interview with Oprah Winfrey last year.
Markle recently gave another interview in which she stated that she and Harry “break the hierarchy … just by their existence.”
She also fired a warning shot at the Palace, remarking, “I’ve never had to sign anything that would restrict me from speaking… I have a lot to say until I say it.”
Harry also has a memoir coming out early next year that is reportedly full of truth bombs.
“There’s a lot of new stories from the past that Harry hasn’t talked about before, about his childhood,” a source told Page Six, adding, “There’s some content in there that should make his family nervous.”
Harry’s friends have previously shared that while his brotherly relationship is still raw, he couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with his family dynamics with Markle and their children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
Sources close to him also claimed in the aforementioned release that his recent return to the UK and the royal family is causing the pain of “remorse for the missed opportunity of what could have been” and regret that “it shouldn’t have been so ugly” . “.
