As Hollywood mourns, Ray Liotta’s Goodfellas co-stars led a tribute to the actor who was “too young to leave us.”
Celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis, Kristin Chenoweth and Piers Morgan have flooded social media to pay tribute to Ray Liotta after the Goodfellas actor died at age 67.
According to reports on Thursday, Liotta died in his sleep while filming the film in the Dominican Republic. The cause of his death was not immediately known.
His Good guys co-stars led the tribute, with Robert De Niro narrating Hollywood Reporter: “I was very saddened to hear of Ray’s passing. He is too young to leave us. May he rest in peace.”
Lorraine Bracco, who also appeared with Liotta in Good guys, shared that she was “totally broken” when she heard the news of his passing, Page six reports.
“I am completely shocked to hear this terrible news about my Ray. I can be anywhere in the world and people will come to me and tell me what their favorite movie is. Good guys” she tweeted along with a retro photo with him. “Then they always ask what was the best thing about making that film. My answer has always been the same… Ray Liotta.”
Seth Rogen, who worked with Liotta in the 2009 film. Observe and reportalso disbelieved when he learned that Liotta had died, sharing that he was a “wonderful, talented and funny person.”
“Working with him was one of the greatest joys of my career and we filmed some of my favorite scenes I have ever been in. A true legend of incredible skill and grace.” – Rogen tweeted.

And Kristin Chenoweth mourned her good friend speaking: “I adored you. I love knowing you all those years ago.”
Devon Sawa reflected on how Liotta was the cause Good guys movie success, twitter, “I try not to do RIP, but Ray Liotta really was one of my favorite movies. He just has a magnetic attraction to his performances, which is one of the reasons Good guys remains associated with aliens as my favorite film(s) ever made.”
Rosanna Arquette shared that Liotta was an “old friend” and that she was heartbroken over his death.
“I am very sad to hear that Ray Liotta has passed away. He was [sic] friend that day, and it’s very sad. We laughed a lot. Rest in peace, my friend, she said. tweeted.
Piers Morgan added that Liotta’s passing was “sad news” and that he was a “brilliant actor” whom he loved in Good guys.
Writer David Zuckerman shared some of his cherished memories of working with Liotta over the years.
“I will never forget how terrible #Reilliott was in Something wildthe first time I saw him he said. “Years later, I sent him to Family man and he was so sweet, almost shy. Great actor. TEAR.”
Director James Mangold said he was “shocked and saddened” to learn of Liotta’s passing.
“In addition to the tough guy look and the heavily twisted emotions of his trademark characters, he was a sweet, playful and passionate employee and a brilliant actor. Rest in peace, he tweeted along with an old photo of the duo chatting at the event.
Jeffrey Wright reminisced about his first meeting with Liotta last year. tweet, “Ray Liotta. The male. Just met a dude for the first time last year. GREAT actor. It’s nice that I had the opportunity to tell him this. TEAR.”
