RHOBH’s Erica Jane Receives New MILLIONS Tax Bill But Insists She Can’t Pay

Beverly Hill Real Housewife Erica Jane has a new $2.2 million tax bill she can’t pay but refuses to give up on her $40K a month glam crew.

The under fire star is being asked to hand over a $1.4 million pair of diamond earrings from her ex Tom Girardi as part of a bankruptcy lawsuit filed by a trustee of his law firm.

But Erica claims that she is having financial difficulties and may have to give them away to pay her taxes, as her latest bill has dealt her another blow.

According to the Franchise Tax Board letter viewed by Kristen Bell Tattoos, she already owes $2,519,882.40 for 2011-2013 to her now suspended company, EJ Global.

It is not clear whether she has to pay taxes for 2013–2019.

In the declaration filed Tuesday night, she alleged that in late May of this year, her business manager received another income tax notice from the California Franchise Tax Board dated May 10, 2022, stating that she owed $2,226,985.77 United States in the form of taxes for 2019.

“I am trying to figure out the basis of this tax bill with the help of my business manager, who is also an accountant,” she wrote. “I am unable to pay my FTB tax bill.

“I also don’t know if the FTB is claiming any kind of hold on my assets, including the diamond earrings.”

Attorney Ronald Richards, representing Chapter 7 Trustee Elissa Miller, told Kristen Bell Tattoos: “She says she just received an FTB tax bill in May 2022. Of course, if EJ updates EJ Global and the files come back, this will grow. In her declaration, she has already personally participated in the tax audit for previous years.”

Despite her financial troubles, Erica stated on a recent episode of RHOBH that she won’t let go of her $40 a month glam crew, explaining that there are “certain things you can’t cut back on.”

But in court documents, she claims her only assets are her personal items, including jewelry, and her income from the reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

She wrote: “I also have various sponsorship income related to performances or product advertisements. Also, last year I tried to start a hair extension business.”

Court documents detail that Tom bought Erica, 50, earrings as a gift around 2004 or 2005, but they were stolen about a year later.

BATTLE FOR THE JEWEL

She claims that one evening while they were having dinner, their family home was ransacked and she left the earrings in a crystal container in her bathroom.

The earrings, which were purchased from M&M jewelers for $750,000, are now worth an estimated $1.4 million.

Erica claims that the earrings were stolen and were not insured, so Tom replaced them with a couple of replicas, adding, “I had no reason to doubt or question the source of the funds used to purchase the earrings.”

She explained that in late 2021 or early this year, she first heard from the law firm’s bankruptcy trustee Tom Girardi Keese, who claimed the earrings were bought money from the client’s trust account.

“I have always been willing to put the earrings in escrow until a final court order is issued as to who is entitled to the earrings,” continues Erika.

“In fact, based on an agreement with the Trustee, the earrings are currently stored in a safe that the Trustee has access to.

“I agree that the earrings can be kept in a safe deposit box until a final court decision is made regarding the ownership of the earrings.”

A previous lawsuit alleged that Tom concealed the theft from the client’s trust by “described the purpose of the review” as a “cost” item in connection with one of his previous lawsuits.

FORMER LEGAL DRAMA

The document stated: “Erika has no legal or equitable rights to the diamond earrings and they are legally and equitably valuable assets of the GK bankruptcy estate that the Trustee can and must sell.”

During an earlier episode of The Real Housewives, Erica, who filed for divorce after more than 20 years with Tom, stated that she currently has “zero dollars”.

During a conversation with Kyle Richards, she said, “I’m here rebuilding my life, but girl, I don’t have dollars.

“And by the time these trustees are done with him [Tom]Nothing will happen.

“So I come out of this with nothing.”

Erica continued, “And I told my lawyers the other day.

“I said, ‘I don’t expect anything.’

“And one of my lawyers looked at me and said, ‘That’s the bravest thing I’ve ever heard.’

“Every day brings a new disaster. It’s just full of fucking shit.”

Tom and his law firm, Girardi Keese, have previously been accused of embezzling funds from several families who lost loved ones in the 2018 Boeing crash.

The 83-year-old was later sued by his business partners, resulting in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing in December.

Despite claiming she was unaware of Tom’s wrongdoings, the Bravo star found herself at the center of a courtroom drama.
