Roseanne Barr returns to comedy

Prior to the debut of Roseanne in 1988, Roseanne Barr had made a name for herself as a stand-up comedian. With her unique bluntness and outspokenness, her content was largely about the struggle to be a housewife…or better, a “home goddess”. She has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and has enjoyed many specials, including one that aired on HBO in 2006.

Sixteen years later, Barr is filming his first comedy special since. Recently announced (via Hollywood Reporter) that Fox News Media’s streaming service, Fox Nation, is set to premiere her new hour-long comedy in early 2023.

Jason Klarman, President of Fox Nation, said: “Roseanne is a comedic icon whose humor resonates with American audiences like no other. Her ability to solve the problems of ordinary people and find humor in it all earned her the passionate love of millions of fans. dedicated fans.”

It is currently unknown what content the special offer will cover. Will Barr stay true to her roots by detailing day-to-day struggles, or will she have a more political focus? According to the report Term, viewers can try everything. Fox Nation told the publication that “there are no taboo topics.”

Some expressed their excitement about the upcoming special. on twitter, @TeamBobbyEwing said, “I hope it will be her big comeback!!” However, many will not tune in. Given Barr’s strong endorsement of former President Donald Trump, some believe the material will target other conservatives. @PurpleCourage tweeted: “Hard pass.”
