According to Hollywood Reporter, the star of “Schitt’s Creek” who is about to make her debut in “Sex Education” is none other than Daniel Levy. And yes, “Sex Education” will be his first live-action small-screen appearance since “Schitta’s Creek” wrapped up its own six-season run. Levy, of course, created Schitt’s Creek with his father, beloved comedian Eugene Levy, serving as producer, writer, and frequent director of the show during his tenure. Given everything Levy has done on Shitt’s Creek, it’s understandable that he wanted to take some time off after the show ended. He even confessed in 2021 Today interview that the stress of the show caused him to briefly wear a neck brace.
With the exception of an overtly hilarious American Express ad campaign, Levy has hardly been seen since his prominent appearance opposite Kristen Stewart in the 2020 holiday romantic comedy The Happiest Season. It seems like it’s finally time for Levy to get back to work, and a recurring role on a Netflix hit like “Sex Education” fits perfectly. The actor won’t even need to use a British accent for the show, as THR reports he’s due to portray Thomas Malloy, Ivy League USA mentor Maeve Wiley of Emma Mackey, in the series. The fourth season of Sex Education is reportedly in production in the UK. While a release date has yet to be set, with talent like Daniel Levy joining the new season, he won’t be able to get there fast enough.
