Changes are coming! The Brown family braced for a major change in their dynamic in the newest episode wife’s sisters as Christine Brown ready to leave forever.
“I think we both just need to be free from each other,” Christine, 50, told her husband. Cody Brown on Sunday, September 18, the release of the TLC series. “Before COVID it was bad. It was 10, 12 bad years.”
Cody, for his part, finally seemed to understand how serious Christina had become about leaving him and moving to Utah.
“FROM [that talk]I lived through the drama in my head. What’s done is wrong,” the 53-year-old reality TV star explained in a confessional. “What could be? Guilt. Refusal for wanting to take any responsibility for what happened.”
In November 2021, Kristin announced that she and Cody had separated after 25 years of marriage. The Utah native, spiritually married to the patriarch in 1994, shares six children with Cody: son Pedon, 23, and daughters Aspin, 27; Michelti, 26; Gwendlin, 20; Isabel, 19; and Truly, 12. .
During Sunday’s episode, Kristin realized why she was ready to move forward without her longtime partner.
“Maybe I can move on,” mother-of-six Cody said as they chatted about her future outside of their large family. “I never thought I would be in this situation. I thought we’d be together forever.”
Kristin admitted, “Now I look back and wish I went to Vegas and never came here.”
Meanwhile, Cody admitted that he misreacted when Cristina first told him that she needed to be “free” after years of misery.
“I want to apologize for getting so angry,” he said, adding, “I need to get to a place where I can rejoice in your happiness and your freedom.”
Robin Brown, for his part, pointed out during the episode that Cody was “out of his mind” amid all the drama with Cristina. “I miss my husband. Every time I try to talk to him, I get angry,” she said. “I tried to talk to the sister wives, I tried to talk to Cody, but, you know, no one wants. I’m starting to feel really helpless.”
Meanwhile, Christina seems to be finally on the same wavelength as Cody, getting ready to leave Arizona. While she was confident that she would return to her home state with their youngest daughter, Truly, Kristin was hesitant to tell 43-year-old Robin, Mary Brownas well as Janelle Brown.
“No one knows that I’m actually leaving,” Christina told the cameras, noting that she knew that her departure would cause irritation. “I don’t want to burn bridges at the end of this.”
She concluded, “I can no longer be their sister wife. I can be their friend.”
Cody married Mary, 51, in 1990, and three years later, he spiritually married Janelle, 53. Robin joined the family in 2010, and in 2014 Cody divorced Mary in order to legally marry Robin and adopt her three children from a previous marriage.
