E!: Will you reveal some of your new relationships? Southern focus. Next season?
ML: I showed a lot of relationships during my first two years of filming. It was a toxic relationship, and the relationship I am in now is very good and pure and I will protect it as much as I can. So, I’m not showing any of that. He has no interest in it. And, you know, it’s going to be hard for people to understand and see my life, but I think a lot of people who’ve been in the industry think it’s important to have it.
This is not my first radio. People are going to try to rip anything that people are happy or positive about, so I have no doubt that things will be said or something like that, but from my fianc and the love that The connection is very clear.
E! How long have you and Brett been together?
ML: We have been going for seven months. You know when you know. When I saw it, I knew it. And, I wasn’t scared either. There were no red flags. He has been a perfect angel to me, and not only that, but my son as well.
E! Have you told Patricia Altschol about your engagement yet?
ML: I want to see it in person and you know I don’t want to do it or anything. I want to go there after all this is said and done and share the news and I think she will be happy for me. I’m dying to tell him. We’ve been around since I was 18 or 19. I am 31 now. His son Whitney [Sudler-Smith] Not married yet or nothing, so I think I’m like filling a gap for the daughter-in-law, or if she ever wants a daughter.
E: How does Brett feel about being in the public eye?
ML: He’s a shy, more relaxed person, who’s incredibly helpful. He’s like, “Oh, these guys want to take pictures with you. You have to make sure he’s a big fan. He really supports me and he encourages me. He’s me or my success.” Or not jealous of something like that. Back and my partner.
It doesn’t happen every day that you work with your ex. [Austen Kroll], But it is not at all insecure and there is no reason for it. He knows Austin and I have water under the bridge and are now friends.
