‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ showrunner David Graziano catches up Wrapper before the season 24 premiere, and he gave an interesting insight into Olivia Benson’s storyline. When the publication asked if Benson would still consider retiring in Season 24, Graziano was clear. “Not. She is entering a new stage in her career,” the showrunner said.
The Stans of Benson can rest easy knowing that their beloved captain isn’t retiring anytime soon. But this does not mean that in season 24 it will be easy for her. “She has experienced many traumas, not only her own, but also [from] other people,” Gratiano observed. What is it like to go to work every day and see the darkest side of humanity? [evident] before you and must resist it?” The new showrunner also noted that he met with Mariska Hargitay before filming, and it was decided that Benson’s story in season 24 would be about finding peace amidst the trauma that had haunted her for so long.
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit season 24 premieres September 22 at 8:00 pm ET on NBC as part of a special three-hour crossover.
