TEEN Mom fans got a glimpse of how Cheyenne Floyd is dealing with the situation following the shootout that nearly killed her and her family.
The reality TV star was in a car with her fiancé Zach Davis and two children when a gunman opened fire on them.
On Tuesday during a new episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, fans watched as Cheyenne struggled to cope with the aftermath of the horrific incident.
After reaching out to Maki Bookout, who was also battling a gun-related injury, Cheyenne and her family decided to visit the rage room.
They smashed everything they could before sitting down for a candid conversation that left the mother of two in tears.
The MTV star admitted that after the shooting, she had a hard time with her children, especially her eldest child Ryder, who she feared might suffer more than she lets on.
Through tears, she admitted: “I understand that everything will be fine with us, but it’s just hard because of the children. With Ryder, her innocence seemed to be taken away. It stole everything I think I’ve been working on.
“It just feels like this girl just keeps getting the shit end of the stick and this is her life, this is my life and as her parent am I doing my best to protect her?”
Then, in a tearful confession, she reflected on being in the car at the time of the shooting.
She recalled: “When I looked at what happened to us, I heard Ace crying. I heard him. I couldn’t hear her.”
Cheyenne continued, “I just needed her to just say something — just say something — but she didn’t say anything, and I can’t get it out of my head. The little girl is my life and I won’t let anyone take her away from me.”
During the episode, she also delved into her feelings after the shooting.
She said, “I think it’s just not fair. I feel like I say this all the time, but how else can I explain it? And it affects everyone. It’s not just us.”
Regarding her personal problems, she admitted: “Even after all the school shootings, I couldn’t even bring [Ryder] to school. I don’t feel comfortable. I don’t feel comfortable going to the store. I don’t go to the mall. I feel like I’m just over it.”
Cheyenne and Zach previously talked about the shooting during the premiere of The Next Chapter.
Fans knew before the episode that the mom-of-two had to undergo surgery due to health issues, but she didn’t share any details.
Cheyenne admitted: “From the outside, my life looks perfect, but to be honest, I haven’t been honest about what’s really going on.”
She then appeared in front of the camera with Zach at her side, preparing for a grim moment as they shared disturbing details of the shooting they were involved in.
Her little dad started it all by sharing with viewers, “We woke up. Ryder had an appointment with a doctor. Ace passed his first inspection. We were just driving to the music, like a normal car day, and Chey looks at me and says, “What is this?” and there was a green beam on my face.”
Cheyenne then jumped in, adding, “When I saw the green beam on Zach’s face, I looked past him. I was just in complete shock.”
Zach then turned back to the audience, recalling, “I looked at whoever was holding the gun and it was someone we both knew. Not only do we just know him, he was here at Chey’s house. all of a sudden we just start hearing gunshots.”
He added: “He hit the car 13 times and we hit the back of the Prius. Opened my door and it was the worst feeling in the world.”
The mom-of-two then began to show emotion, holding back tears as she said, “It’s a miracle we are still here and God literally covered us that day because every cop that was there said they didn’t understand how we all live.” alive.”
The reality TV star added, “Listening to this over and over, I just wished they would stop saying it because I had to pinch myself to make sure I knew I was alive.”
After the episode aired, Zach responded to fan rumors that he was responsible.
In a remote tirade, he denied accusations that he had anything to do with the shooting, or that it had anything to do with the fact that he has a “past”.
He wrote: “The fact that I had to solve this problem is beyond my understanding. I constantly pay attention to the fact that there is a lot of talk about the incident in which we were involved. So let’s clear up some things.”
The reality star continued, “It happened. There are a lot of crimes going on in Los Angeles that don’t make the news. Whose and I would never come up with this dramatic ratings story, it took us a year to even speak publicly about what we’ve been through.”
The father of one added: “It was a pointless act and life in Los Angeles is not uncommon. Stop talking about it being our friend or justify what we went through because I have a past.
“It has no connection. This is still an active case, so we cannot provide details. For now, offer your prayers, support, and leave your opinion.”
On another slide, he wrote: “This is Los Angeles every day! If you think that you can drink a cup of sweet tea here, then this is not so. This is the GTA lobby. Be safe!”
Zach eventually deleted the post, which also included several photos of the car they were driving in when they were shot at.
