‘This England’ launch date pushed back by one week due to Queen’s death – KristenBellTattoos.com

Sky is pushing back the TX date for its Boris Johnson series This England after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

To comply with the period of mourning, the broadcaster moved the launch date from 21 September to 28 September. We understand that in light of the Queen’s passing, there will be no need for any changes to the drama.

The highly anticipated series, starring Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, follows the tumultuous events surrounding former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his government in the face of the first wave of a global pandemic. The six-episode drama is set in government halls and intertwined with stories from across the country. While she is in no way the focus of the drama, it is assumed that Queen Elizabeth II is featured in the series.

A date for the Queen’s funeral has yet to be set, but there has been a lot of speculation in the media that it could take place on Monday, September 19th.

Sky today canceled the BAFTA movie preview on September 13th. This England. It was supposed to be for the crew, cast and BAFTA members.
