Season 19 hen-party can end dramatically for both Gabby Windy as well as Rachel Rekkia.
The co-leaders have completed the first part of the finale, and each of them has one suitor left. While Rachel is hoping for an offer from Tino Franco in the second part, which airs on Tuesday, September 20, Gabby thinks Erich Schwer is the only one for her. The second part takes place during an emotional quarrel between a couple over their engagement.
“I don’t want to force my decision on him,” Gabby said during the first part after Erich suggested that they just date and not get engaged. “I want to be with Erich forever – that’s why I want him to propose to me. What I should do? Leave because he’s not ready to propose?
The ICU nurse has had her eye on Erich since the start of the season, setting him up on a one-on-one date during the third week. Their relationship continued to develop as she met his family, including his father, who had terminal cancer. (Erich’s father, Allan Schwer, died in July, a few months after filming the date in his hometown.)
During their date nights, Erich and Gabby hit a snag as he struggled with the idea that she would spend the night with Jason Alabaster and/or Johnny DeFillipo. While he had a brief on-screen streak before Gabby sent the other two finalists home, off-screen things got even worse for Erich.
On September 8, a black-faced photo of the New Jersey native from his high school yearbook surfaced. He apologized via Instagram, writing in part, “What I thought at the time was an expression of my love for Jimi Hendrix was nothing short of ignorant. I was naive about the detrimental effects of my actions on the black community and those closest to me, and I will always regret my abusive and destructive behavior.”
A few days later a woman named Amanda Keillor claimed to have dated Erich before he left to shoot hen-party. She shared screenshots of their alleged text messages after he informed her of his decision on March 10, claiming that Erich wanted her to remain open to the idea of dating when he returned.
“You just expected me to keep dating you while you go on a reality show to ‘find love,'” Amanda wrote.
Erich allegedly replied, “That’s not true, but you’re right. I’m sorry I didn’t really think it through. … I did not realize the consequences. I wish I thought we could talk on the same page about this. I really didn’t mean for it to hurt you.
In another post, he allegedly explained that he signed up for the ABC show because he was “unhappy” and felt he was “stuck in his career path” as a real estate analyst.
Before heading to Los Angeles to shoot the show, Reality Steve reveals that Erich sent Amanda flowers with a note that said, “I’ll never stop thinking about you.”
