AFTER the end of a 13-year custodial, Britney Spears is still in the spotlight and not held back.
Despite being released from 13-year custody in November, her bond with her family is still strained after years of alleged “abuse”.
When will the interview air?
While there is no set date for when Spears, 40, with Oprah Winfrey, 67, will air, it is certainly “in the works,” according to an exclusive source who told Kristen Bell Tattoos.
In an interview, the pop star “Tells EVERYTHING” Winfrey about her family strife and guardianship.
During her Good Morning America (GMA) interview, Spears attacked her sister Jamie Lynn Spears for “profiting” from her success and “spreading lies”.
“Britney is deeply offended and angry. [that] others who claim to love her keep trying to tell her story when it’s her story,” a source told Kristen Bell Tattoos.
“She will speak absolutely on her own terms. Nothing is locked yet, but right now everything is in the game.
“It will happen this year, maybe earlier than fans think. She has already spoken to Winfrey about the meeting, and Spears wants the interview to take place.
“Oprah wants it to happen too. It looks like everything will work out, so now she is focused on starting a new life.”
The insider added that Spears is also “moving into a better home for her and very ready for a fresh start.”
What did Britney say about her custody?
Following the Jamie Lynn GMA interview, Spears shared the statement, written in her phone’s notes, on social media.
Spears wrote that, suffering from a 104º fever, she sat down and watched her sister’s interview, and that she disagreed with what her sister claimed while promoting her memoir, Things I Should Have Said.
Spears denied her sister’s comments, saying her behavior was unpredictable prior to her 13-year guardianship, which was dissolved by a judge in November.
“She was never there for me 15 years ago at that time…so why are they even talking about it, unless she wants to sell the book at my expense.”
Spears previously described the termination of custody as abusive and said she was afraid of her father, James P. Spears, and that she would not perform while he was in charge.
Who else has Oprah interviewed?
Working since 1973, Winfrey has interviewed numerous celebrities and public figures.
Recently, however, she gave various high-profile interviews, for example, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
The couple have revealed detailed accounts of their struggles as members of the royal family, speaking on topics such as mental health issues, issues related to the color of their son Archie’s skin and their relationship with the royal family.
Most recently, Winfrey sat with Adele during the singer’s special concert titled Adele One Night Only, which aired on CBS two weeks before the release of her 25th album.
Adele spoke about her music, divorce, son and new relationship in a candid interview.
