You probably remember the demonic faces of those child stars from horror movies like The Exorcist and The Ring, but what happened to the little horrors after the cameras stopped rolling?

It was revealed this week that American star Isabelle Fuhrman, who played the creepy nine-year-old Esther in the 2009 horror film Orphan, will reprise her role in the upcoming sequel Orphan: The First Kill.

Now 25, she said she “loved the challenge” of playing a child without CGI or rejuvenation effects because “it’s never been done in a movie.”

After her acclaimed role in The Orphan, Isabelle landed the role of Carnation in the blockbuster trilogy The Hunger Games, where she worked alongside Jennifer Lawrence.

She also played rebellious 18-year-old Tessa in Masters of Sex and Alex Dall in the indie film The Rookie.

Isabelle has gone through a rather glamorous transformation, growing out her platinum blonde hair and regularly posting sexy swimsuit shots on Instagram.

Here we reveal what other child horror movie stars are up to that have us hiding behind popcorn.

American actress Linda Blair’s disturbing performance as Regan in The Exorcist continues to shock audiences today, with Rotten Tomatoes calling it the scariest movie of 2020.

Priests even stood outside movie theaters when the blockbuster came out in 1974, and audiences left the theaters fainting and vomiting.

Blair, now 63, won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and was also nominated for an Oscar for her convincing performance despite being only 13 years old.

Los Angeles-born Hailey, now 34, became an overnight household name after starring in the 90s classic The Sixth Sense alongside Bruce Willis.

He is best known for his famous delivery of the line “I see dead people” and received a Golden Globe nomination.
