Born on March 26, 1962, the 60-year-old Reverend Richard Coles is an Anglican minister and an English musician.

He studied theology at King’s College London and received his master’s degree from the University of Leeds.

Reverend Richard Coles is best known for being part of The Communards along with Jimmy Somerville who were friends before joining the group.

They formed the band in 1984 after Jimmy left the Bronski Beat and were known for such hits as Don’t Leave Me This Way and Never Can Say Goodbye.

“And I tried everything I could think of to help him stop drinking, and to be honest, he tried too, but it was too much for him.”
