KILLED HEART Sinead O’Connor tweeted a touching tribute to the tragic news of the death of her 17-year-old son, Shane.
A 55-year-old man tweeted a beautiful message about the teenager’s tragic passing, saying, “My baby. I love you so much. Please calm down:”
Who was Shane O’Connor?
Shane is the son of Sinead, an Irish singer and songwriter, and Donal Lanney, an Irish folk musician and producer.
The couple broke up shortly after Shane’s birth.
Shane was also one of four Sinead children: Jake Reynolds, Roisin Waters, and Yeshua Francis Neil Bonadio.
He was last seen in Tallaght, South Dublin on Friday night, when police were alerted to his disappearance.
Police had earlier called for help to find Shane with Sinead, who tweeted, “Shane, your life is precious. It was not for nothing that God carved that beautiful smile on your beautiful face.
“My world would have collapsed without you. You are my heart. Please don’t stop his beating. Please don’t hurt yourself. Go to Garda and we will take you to the hospital.
“This is a message for my son, Shane. Shane, it’s no longer funny that all these are missing. You scare the hell out of me.
“Could you do the right thing and report to the Garda precinct. If you are with Shane, please call Garda for his safety. “
How did he die?
Sinead and her family were reportedly concerned about Shane’s mental health as he was admitted to Tallaght Hospital to supervise his suicide.
Local police were alerted after he went missing from the hospital.
Sinead took to social media to threaten the hospital with “legal action” if “something happens to my son.”
She wrote: “For example, how was a seventeen year old traumatized young man WHO WAS ON SUICIDE OBSERVATIONS at Lynn Ward Tallaht Hosptial, for example, could he go to waste ???
“The hospital, of course, still refuses to take on any responsibility. Is there anything going on with my son on their watch? Lawsuits.
“I want to know why Lynn Ward of Taillight Hospital, who was supposed to watch my baby around the clock, managed to get him out of control this morning when he made two serious suicide attempts 7 days ago.”
Unfortunately, his body was found on Friday, and the news devastated his family.
Police confirmed the news today and a spokesman said: “Following the discovery of a body in the Bray Wicklow area on Friday, January 7, 2022, the missing persons appeal against 17-year-old Shane O’Connor was dismissed. “
What did Sinead say?
After the news of the tragic death of Shane, Sinead tweeted: “My beautiful son, Neviim Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the light of my life, today decided to end his earthly struggle and now with God.
“May he rest in peace, and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be calm: “
She later also tweeted a Bob Marley song that she dedicated to Shane: “This is for my Shane. The light of my life. Lamp of my soul. My blue-eyed child.
“You will always be my light. We’ll always be together. No border will separate us. “
