The cow was one of the first domesticated animals. This process began 10,500 years ago and they were used for meat and milk, while their skin, hair, horns and bones were also used for clothing and everyday tools. From the very beginning the cow was a valuable animal for man. Scientists say that they were used as currency in 9,000 BC and can be called one of the first forms of money.
Even after so many years, animals are still a huge part of people’s diet, but what has changed is that more people have become emotionally attached to them and started keeping them as pets.
